  1. How much memory do I need to run PSP?
The minimum memory requirement for PSP is 32 MB, but you will be a lot happier with it if you have 128 MB. More memory makes your system run faster, and makes it possible to do more at once -- like having several graphics files open, copying and pasting, or making a large graphic with many layers of detail.

  2. How much free disk space do I need to run Paint Shop Pro?
You need a minimum of 75 MB of disk space empty to install PSP. Life will be less frustrating, however, if you have at least 250 to 300 MB free beyond that. But you are going to need disk space for the graphics you make, and for tubes you collect. Graphics and tubes can take a lot of space fast! Other functions of Windows eat up drive space that you think of as "empty". Windows and other applications use "temp" files while they are running -- like the notes you may make while you are doing something, that you throw away when the project is finished. You may also have your system confiigured to use some of your hard disk space as Virtual Memory. Your system will operate best if you always have at least 10% of the disk, or 100 MB, free -- that's after allowing about 100 MB for temp files, whatever space you have configured for Virtual Memory, and your graphics library.
