Yes, please. I am going to try to attack this during Spring Break, so any help would be greatly appreciated! Any clubs that have closed, opened, changed, etc. And bands that have formed, renamed, broken up, etc. Even if you have told me, tell me again just in case...not sure if I can get it all done during Spring Break or not, but I'm hoping!! |

I want to apologize that I have not managed to get this done as I had hoped over Spring Break. Silly me, I was thinking, "Oh cool, I don't have to tote kids around all week like usual, so I should have plenty of time to get things done." Of course, it has not gone that way at all. I have had one of those weeks where every little thing I tried to do managed to turn into an ordeal. Here's a good "for instance." I wanted to get the kids' and my hair cut. Simple thing, right? Takes about an hour, maybe. Um, yeah. So, I was changing stylists because the one I WAS using moved out to Bulverde...too far. So I planned to try my kickboxing instructor, who also does hair. So I called her to set up an appointment to get our hair cut. Well, she didn't answer her phone. So I was drove over to her salon. She wasn't there, so I set up an appointment with her through another stylist. But I wanted to make sure the time was ok with her. I was going to her kickboxing class that night, so I figured I'd check with her then. Then, my 5-year-old got sick and was acting very scarily strange, so I ended up taking him to the hospital and had to skip the class. But after we got back from the hospital, I had to go get his medicine, so I dropped by the karate studio and caught up with her and all was good. We had appointments for me, my 5-year-old son and my 4-year-old daughter for the next day. Well, the next day, my son was still too sick to go. So just my daughter and I went to get our hair cut, and I had to set up another appointment for my son for the next day. Then our 12-year-old decided she really liked the way the woman had cut my hair and wanted hers done, too. So I dragged her along, but the stylist couldn't do hers then, so we set up another appointment for later that day. So we had to leave, wait a little while and go back. Long story short (I know, too late)...it took me THREE days to get something as simple as getting haircuts done. And EVERYTHING I've tried to do all week has been like this!!! Right now, my sink is full of dishes and there's a pile of clothes in my laundry room. That's how ridiculous a week it's been. Even daily chores went out the window. SO, if I want to get the band and venue lists updated, I'm going to have to figure out some other time or else teach someone else how to do it. Again (if you're still reading this and haven't gotten bored and gone over to MySpace or something), I apologize. I REALLY DID try!!! |

Just by stepping into the new Scout Bar you quickly see that this place is unlike any other venue in town. It's all about Quality Quality Quality... built and ran by a musician for musicians. We were fortunate to be the guinea pigs last night as the first full band to play the stage, and it was pretty awesome. Trust me, Scout Bar will do a lot to help elevate the music scene here in San Antonio. |
