2008 San Antonio Music Awards?
Who made up THIS awards ceremony? Who voted on it? Who ran it and verified the results? Was it just the bands that play at Wise Guys that were considered, because that's what it looked like to me? Not to disparage the winners, but just looking for some enlightenment on this? |

There's quite a few 'contests' lately; are you talking about The Current? I think the issue came out today, but can't find anything online. |

Wise Guys starting doing a grammys thing last year. There were vote slips near the door and a drop box. It is usually more about bringing all the bands together on a night off and having fun than who wins what. It was a silly silly night. |

Thank you ... as I thought ... just for bands that play at Wise Guys! Not a fan of these "contests." They are usually tilted one way or the other or open for ballot stuffing. |

and like I said, it really wasnt about who won and who didnt. It was a blast seeing everybody together off the stage and having fun. Who else was there? |

That's cool. Most of the bands I've seen at Wiseguy's are pros. Makes sense. |

Does ANYONE know ANYTHING about The Current hosting a party at the Witte Museum this Thursday @ 8pm? It's the "best of" deal. I've looked/asked everywhere aside from calling... Yep I'm gonna crash for about a week now! Listings are done, a little confusing with bands playing the Autism event and then onto a gig that night, etc, but I think it's up to par for now.

The S.A.CREEPER isn't after your vote. Hi from Ty Gavin, the bottom line is ya'll are doing a great service to the S.A. Rock Scene. Right now, I'm working on promoting"THIRTEEN" by TheS.A.CREEPER and I am trying to track down the best of the Glam metal bands and also the best of the Stripped Down Metal bands to put some shows together with. I'm especially interested in bands doing their own songs, at least mainly. Check out my blogs and please help me get this thing going for the most rocking summer in S.A. I appreciate any ideas and comments.
