Hi, found this site and forum, just what I've been looking for since moving to the SA area to find the clubs and bands. Been out of music for a lot of years (too many to count) due to raising kids, and other responsibilities. All are raised, and getting back into it big. Played piano many years ago, getting back into that, but also picked up the guitar. Would love to find other people to jam with. Not ready to form/join a band yet, but would love to just find someone to play with to get used to it before forming/joining a band. Anyone willing to jam with a first timer like myself???? |

Guitar mentor/teacher that does house calls. Not looking for 'structured' learning. Can do books, practice scales on my own. But someone to do non-traditional teaching on things like palm muting, how to reduce errant string noise on bending, etc... Can pay reasonable rate. |

BASS player needed
MERGE is currently auditioning BASS players. We are a 4 piece 80's/90's cover band that plays approximately 4 times a month. We have our own PA for smaller venues like Stone Werks and Broadway 5050. However we also have resources for larger PAs if the venue calls for it. Our music is very diversified as we can play either a harder edged show for a club, or tone it down and play more dance oriented music for weddings, private parties, and conventions. We have shows booked through New Years Eve when our current bass player will be leaving. However we'd like to start working on his replacement ASAP in order to minimize downtime after he leaves. We're seeking a solid musician with stage presence who can interact well with the crowd and the rest of us on stage. Prior experience preferred but not a must. However professionalism is. We're not prima-donna (sp?) rock star wannabes. Just quality musicians who like to put a good product on stage for our clients. Looking for quality people to join a cover band that has an established name, excellent reputation, steady gigs and just has a lot of fun playing music. Looking for a guitarist (or two), lead singer (male or female), drummer and soundman to step in and keep rock done right going in San Antonio. I play bass and sing lead/harmony, have a great work ethic, love doing the legwork and paperwork necessary to keep things going smoothly,and I'm an easy person to get along with. Not looking for divas, prima donnas, noodlers, egomaniacs, mercenaries or band-jumpers ... this has to be something you're willing to spend some time on to make the best. I'm looking for some good folks into doing this for fun (and some decent side $$$) on Fridays and Saturdays who aren't looking to become the next American Idol, or go on tour around the world. Christian singer/songwriter/keyboardist
Hello, My name is Rick Miesse. I am a Christian singer/songwriter/vocalist originally from Ohio who now resides in Converse, TX with my military wife. I am looking to be a vocalist in a committed Christian band who wants to play out as much as possible and get the message of the Good News out to all through God's gift of music. I used to be in a secular band as a front man for many years before committing my life to Christ. Looking for a Lead Guitar Player
We are looking for a lead guitar player for a classic rock/blues band. Some of the bands we cover are SRV, Hendrix, The Doors, ZZ TOP and we are playing some Kenny Wayne Shephard and John Mayer Trio. If you are interested let us know. We practice once a week and want to gig 2-4 times a month. |
