Choosing an "alert" dog
we have owned and been owned b corgis over the past 30 years. When our last one died, we did not replace her. We decided to see if a cat was less maintenance and would free us up for travel. we have a wonderful ragdoll and I wouldn't trade her for anything now BUT now I do need a dog. After a terribly frightening incident, where my husband did not hear the gas alarm going off, I would like a dog to alert him to important sounds. What breeds or crosses can I consider that would be very accepting of the cat, quiet when needs to be, but would react to alarms, doorbells, etc.? |
