Looking for some assistance w/ a ct we saved.
Hi, Last week we rescued a 2 year old, whom is pregnant, the owner whom is my sister neigbor was going to shoot her because she is pregnant, We are going to the vet today, I'm on Temporary disability, which is 50% of my regular pay. I will vow to keep her, Is their any assistance to help with the cost of spaying. Last year at this time we had 5 pets 2 dogs and three cats, last december 27th nagel our 16 yr old cockapoo passedon and on the 5th of this month our 17 year old cat stash, just passed, we spent $600 which wiped out what little extra I had put aside, she will be creamated today that is another $100, I have no more liguid cash, I spent my christmas fund money trying to save stash. Does anyone have any ideas for some assistance w/ the cost of spaying after she has her kittens??? Any suggestions would be wonderful!! Thank-you We are Very much a house that Loves our pets and have taken 4 cats through the years, and both dogs were rescued from the humane society. Sheri. |

Hi, You didn't mention which state you are in, and I have posted other spay/neuter information via another thread for other states. If you are Va/Hampton Roads area, thier is the SNIP Van that is run by PeTA. They provide low cost spay/neuter services as well as shots, you can contact PeTA by calling 757-622-SPAY and make an appt. Please don't turn them over to PeTA though, they do not adopt out most of the animals they take in. The SNIP Van, however, is a good thing and can provide you with low cost spay/neutering. If you are in the Norfolk, Va area, the Norfolk SPCA can help you with spay/neutering. If you are on any type of public assistance and live in Norfolk, VA the Norfolk SPCA has funding to help spay/neuter your pets for free. That is only if you are on any kind of public assistance and live in Norfolk, VA. http://www.norfolkspca.com/services/clinic.html Their is also a Tidewater Humane. http://www.tidewaterhumane.org/ And if you live in Franklin, Va their is PACC. They use the SNIP van, and they may be able to help you. http://pacconline.org. Hope this helps. Bless you for saving those kitties, and not letting your neighbor shoot them. I think I would have to make a phone call to the Local Animal Control and Report the Nasty Neighbor for animal cruelty. Susan |
