Cool place but could use a MAJOR cleanup. From the bar to the inside and outdoor tables, the place is FILTHY !! The whole place needs to be gutted and cleaned..BY HAND! As a chef peeking in, the kitchen is completely disgusting to the point I could never order anything from there. Can't believe a place with so much potential, history and character has been left to rot away on the water. Being outdoors and so close to the main drag, begs the question..why didn't they use some hurricane dollars to clean the dump up!!. Guess it is living on the laurels of histpry, waterfront property, dingy clientele who are dirty or too drunk to notice the scum all over the place, much less the nasty vomitous mixed with noxious astringent cleanser smells that take over with the right wind shift from time to time.... I guess they keep banking on patrons to settle for crap in exchange for a great sunset or moon reflection... well I'd rather go to Riverside Cafe..at least it is clean and respectable anyday!

What is REALLY your opinion? Yes I do agree that Waldos could be a lot cleaner. I always accepted that as being part of the ambiance but I am always careful what I order. You never know. I once got food poisening from the duck at the Ocean Grill. Came within a wretch of going to the emergency room.

My opinion is that filthy places should not be considered unique and it is shame to endure such garbage standards for the sake of a prime waterfront..other towns with a lot more historic waterfont dining options have cleaner places and if one time out of towners make these comments then we as locals shouldn't think it is acceptable either...there is nothing charming about stank or scumminess in a place of business, especially where food and beverages are being served, period.

All I ever had at Waldo's was a martini and that tasted just fine. I've been there twice and never had the desire to order anything other than a drink. It's a shame because it's the only place in Vero that comes to mind where one can enjoy an oceanside cocktail and an inexpensive bite besides Mulligan's and Mulligan's has absolutely repulsive food. I'll continue to make the drive to Squid Lips.

I love waldos.. and ocean grill...the charm is that they aren't like ever other restaurant in town...ps that eric hunter from wavw is cute (on front of planevero slide show. ANybody know if he is single?

It is too bad such a cool place and loctaion isn't alot cleaner..I think I leaned on the bar and my shirt stuck to it! Disusting..when I order a drink, I check the glass as I've had a few with lipstick on them still..I saw the kitchen too, what a DISGRACE..a place with charm and history should be much better run..it is a health hazard no doubt

Glad I saw this, I was going to eat there! Ick! Used to hang out there in my wild single drunken days, guess that's all it's really good for...

Actually, the food is remarkably improved. Try the Cobb Salad. It's under new management. You will need a "cuddie shot" at Riverside Cafe.

Last comment of the day. It is much improved. Tried it cause a friend dragged me there. They did clean the ole place up and it does have better food. Actually a new top choice for me. Now I'
