Dolphin Dash

I just got finished running the Dolphin Dash 5k and wanted to congratulate everybody that was there, runners and volunteers. This was the 11th time that the Gifford Middle School Band Parents Association had the race and they did a great job. The race course was at Riverside Park and to be honest I think this is the first time that I have seen Riverside Cafe while it was light out. It's a pretty nice building, very architecturally sound. A lot of fast runners were there young and old. In fact, there was a 12yr old girl that was beating me for most of the race until I finally passed her with about a mile to go. It's a competition and I don't care how old they are I show no mercy. (just kidding) At the end of the race there was an awards ceremony for the overall winners and top three runners from various age groups. I took second in the 20-24yr old bracket. I also wanted to dedicate my performance to my personal hero Steve Prefontaine, who once said, "To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the Gift." Besides that, I’ll be headed up to the Clam Bake in Sebastian this weekend. There is going to be live music, great food and I hear that the beer is flowing like wine. So, keep and eye out for me because you never know where I might strike next. Flynn Fidgeon a.k.a F2 a.k.a In Like Flynn

Re: Dolphin Dash

I'll look for you at the Clamebak. I want to be in one of your stories.

Did you wear your nightgown for the run? That would be a good way to beat the competition. Stop them in their tracks.

Re: Dolphin Dash

That is a great idea. Other runners would be so shocked that they would just stop running and I could coast to victory. I wouldn't even have to train any more. I guess I didn't see you at the Clam Bake, but I'll try to give you a heads up about my next event and I'd love to interview you. Flynn Fidgeon a.k.a F2 a.k.a In Like Flynn
