Hi every one i am restoring military model norton big 4 with side car outfit i need to know from where i can get hoffman engine bearings and if these are not available then which other brand is recommended? how about japnese bearings do they fit?.

As fas as I know 'Hoffmann' bearings are not available anymore. You may have to search for NOS replacements, or buy modern ones such as 'RHP' (Ransome Hoffmann and Pollard - posterior of 'Hoffmann').
