WD Pyrene Extinguisher

Hello is any one in the Know to weather the Pyrene Fire extinguisher was polished brass or not !? My way of thinking is not polished as it would stand out like a sore thumb and would give away your position especially in war time
it is all covered in like a textured coating of some thing or another I'm leaning to the colour brown !!
or it could be just years of tarnish and muck
and on most of the ones that i have seen the instructions are written on a little brass plate this one is a transfer/decal type....

Re: WD Pyrene Extinguisher

As far as I know these where not fitted to WD nortons at all. I have seen pictures of some instructors using them on their bikes, but I think this was personal choice. Still nice to have found a genuine war one!
