Indian made mudguards

Hi All,

Does anyone have experience of whether the Indian fabricated mudguards are any good.. I obviously need a pair for my project and have seen them on E bay etc, so I am just wondering if any of you have purchased a pair and what were they like?

Gary

Re: Indian made mudguards

Gary,

India made parts will be continuous uncertainty.
I have no personal experience but have read as many positive as negative remarks on India made products.
I can usually spot a India made toolbox from an original but have not really seen it on mudguards but people usually do not tell where the parts came from.

I personally do not use India made parts but repair originals when needed.
If originality is not an issue it is worth a try if cost is acceptable.
If originality is an issue, try to find them on autojumbles or otherwise.

cheers,

Rob

Re: Indian made mudguards

Thanks for the reply Rob, I am regular trader at autojumble so throughout the EU and UK selling Brake Shoes and related in the main. Finding original tinware is nigh on impossible. So the Indian route is the last chance saloon basically.. I’m not a rivet counter but would always prefer original to a copy. I’ll be patient until the final moments of getting the project finished.
