Hello dear friends {smile}

Just starting off the September string. Today was the last radiation treatment day so that is another item of the list done and dusted {smile} the past couple of weeks have been challenging especially with the fatigue and also radiation burns (which are still ongoing). They told me today that the side effects will peak within the next 7 to 10 days and then I can start recovery. Heck I am starting it with not having to drive to Ipswich every day now! {smile}

Will be back soon with a longer post.. we have visitors here at the moment and they are going tomorrow, then Paul is away for a few days so finally will be some time for myself! {smiling}

The dogs are looking good-the 'pups' are lovely.Saw a black german shepard pup grow up,owner always takes her for a walk and run on the oval-somehow, she has lost the joy she had when young.

I wrote a huge post the other day and Pat came in while I was typing and I lost the whole thing while talking with him. I was so mad I walked away from the computer. Oh well, here I am again.

So happy for you Mermaid that all the radiation and hospital visits are over. I hope your recovery is swift and that you will never ever have a scare such as this again. Wishing you well with every passing day. *************************

Pat and I are going on a little 5 day holiday on Sunday to Atlantic City. The beach should be free of children that week and the weather should still be warm enough to enjoy the water. The hotel has a great indoor pool so I can still enjoy it if it rains. I hope to win at the casino's this time. I am not a very big gambler but I do like to play the slots sometimes for fun. I also like black jack. Pat likes poker which I stay away from as the stakes are to high for me.

My grand daughters go back to school today. They are looking forward to it. It has been a long summer for them. Denise and Mark are getting tired of the restaurant business and plan to put it up for sale soon. I pray they can sell it so that they can start leading and more normal family life. It is a bad time to sell anything here in the states. The economy is just so messed up right now.

Well I better close and go and get dressed as it is almost 9:30 and I haven't even made the bed yet. So until next time.************

Just popping in quickly to thank you all for your kind thoughts. They said to me at the hospital on Monday that the side effects would ~peak~ 7-10 days after the last treatment. What they omitted to mention was the burns and ~nasties~ would also start up as well so this week has been quite challenging though at least I didn't have to drive into town every day. {smile}

Paul is away on a golfing ~do~ for a few days and is back tomorrow.... I have been attempting to rest up yet today (our Wedding Anniversary btw) it has been like Casey's court so I will sit and write up a post later this evening. There have been heatings engineers here most of the morning. Michael and I working out in the garden, the window cleaners arrived, and now the men to cut the grass! In between all that I have just about managed to catch up in the house (with the help of the girls yesterday) and the mountain of ironing to tonight have promised myself is for me! {smile}

Think when we finally get on the boat on the 16th September then I am going to sleep for a week! So til later... hoping all are well {smile}

My heart goes out to you and Paul on the loss of Shiva. Of all your dogs she is the one I have taken an intrest in the most over the years. I feel as if I knew her. I know how much you will miss her. Again I am so very sorry for your loss. Liz you must be just numb right now with all that is happening in your life. Please take care of yourself. Make sure you get lots of rest and try not to worry so about the house and grounds. Let all these things go and just take care of you. I am sending you calming peaceful healing energies. ******May they help heal your heart as well as your body.

My dear Mermaid, I still can't get over the fact that Shiva has gone over the rainbow bridge. Again I'm so very sorry.
We leave early in the morning(Sunday) for Atlantic City and will return late Friday. Until then be well.
