Good morning dear friends [smile}

Sending out good wishes for a very Healthy, Happy New Year to {{{all}}} ....{smile}

This morning we have another winter wonderland outside as it has snowed and frozen overnight! It looks beautiful though I suspect that the water is probably going to be frozen down at the stables so will be bucket carrying from the house.

Will be back later with a longer post... til then leaving a {{{warm group hug}}} to {{all}} who may enter....

Happy New Year....if New Years Eve and yesterday was any indication of the year ahead then it is going to be a good one. We had a great dinner Thursday night and the fire works were terrific. Spent yesterday with old friends, the food was really good and the conversation and friendship even better. Looking forward to slower easier days with less cares and worries this year. Wishing the same for each of you. Have a great weekend, I plan to.

Re: Posts for January 2010

Hi Mermaid aND Elfina and everyone,

I also think 2010 will be a better year-touch wood !
Not that I saw anything of the New Year's evening-was fast asleep after the screws were removed from my hip.
I am getting better slowly and can walk around with my stick-but the new chairs are hard and lowish.So I put a big cushion on it and it is much better and easier to push myself up.
My mantra is "Each day,in every way I am getting better and better" !!

It is quite cool here today, but-'they' are predicting 40o at the end of the week-for 3 days-ouch !

Warch that ice,my cold friends !!
love Maggy

Happy New Year to all!

As a couple of us have already mentioned, 2009 was certainly a challenging year for many of us. In terms of Numerology, the year was a Mast Number of 11 requiring each of us to tap into our inner most depths as our souls were put to the test.

This new year of 2010 is a three with an emphasis on communication as well as a healing of separations that have occurred in the previous year. It can signify the coming together for the purposes of a common goal.

Looking at the chart (based on GMT), this year is quite interesting. The Ascendant is in Libra calling each of us to expand beyond our own wants and needs to come together (again emphasized along with the 3). This year is about seeking balance after the chaotic and disruptive energies of last year.

Saturn sits on the Asc, encouraging us to stick our noses to grindstone. Saturn of course is the Gatekeeper and reminds us the importance of lessons learned in order that we may evolve

A T-Square is formed between Saturn Conj the Asc, Pluto and Venus in Sag Conj each other and the IC in the third house, and the Moon in Cancer Conj the MC in the 10th. This can signify a reconstruction of our home and family and finding the balance between self, home, and career. While last year saw a record number of lost jobs, broken homes, and loss of a sense of self, this year is about the challenge to rebuild those things.

Mercury conjunct the Sun in the 4th house in Cap also indicates that much of our energy and mental focus will be directed to the home front.

Chiron, Neptune and Jupiter in Aquarius in the 5th house and opposing Mars in Leo in the 11th requires us to think of the greater good of all. What can we do to contribute to positive global energy? What can we do as both individuals and a collective do to create positive change? We may also see extreme highs (and/or extreme lows) in speculative ventures like the stock market.

Uranus in the sign of Pisces in the 6th house could point to significant medical discoveries, and since it is also trine to the moon Mercury, these discoveries could involve a breakthrough in mental health, alzheimers, or other neurological diseases.

Looks to be an interesting year very different from the last one.

Trying to do the homeopathic cure to a nasty bladder infection as the overuse of antibiotics in this country has become quite an epidemic and as a result, our bodies are much more resistant to them. Using Cranberry and eating chicken and rice soup, and so far (knock on wood) looks like things are starting to improve.

Hoping all have a blessed week coming up

Love, Diana

Hello dear friends {smile}

I have been the recipient of a raging sore throat and heavy head cold these past few days would you believe! {smile} Mind you today I have been stuck into some esoteric astrology again at long last which has been brilliant and how lovely to see some more astrology thoughts from you again dear {{{wolfsister diana}}} {Smile} I do hope that you will be feeling much better again soon {{{hugs}}}

Am out of time at the moment as the wolfpack have been fairly patient with me waiting for their dinner whilst I have been writing away on esoteric stuff yet I fear their patience is being severely tested so I had better go and feed them! {chuckle}

I will be back later but in the meantime leaving a {{{warm group hug}} to {{all}} {smile}

Re: Posts for January 2010

Aww Liz, I'm sorry to hear you've been hit with the cold bug. Sending out healing thoughts your way.

Finally found out what my problem was. After three days of fever, chills and intense lower belly pain I passed several nasty kidney stones. I feel like a new woman! {laughing} Amazing how much we take for granted.

No work today as I thought a day off to rest up after that run would be wise. What to do . . . think sleep is on the agenda {grin}

Hoping all have a better week.
Diana

Re: Posts for January 2010

I hope this message finds you all on the mend....so far I have managed to be healthy since my arrival in Florida. It is really cold here which is so unusual for us for this long a time. I have had to wear a heavy jacket, sweater and gloves just to get the mail.

On a sad note I just returned from the funeral of a friend who passed away on Jan. 2nd from colon cancer. He was a very private person and didn't want anyone to know he was ill. He left a list of people to be called after his death so that we could attend his funeral. There was no family there as he was not speaking to his 2 daughters and his sister and they all lived in NY. There was only a handfull of friends to morn him and the man who took care of him in his dying days. I wish he had told us he was ill so that we could have said a proper goodbye. Pat and I will miss him.

I took down all my christmas decoartions yesterday which was an all day chore. I must have pulled a muscle in my neck while doing it. I have been putting a heating pad on it which helps a little. I think I'll got and lie down for awhile to see if that helps.

Take care friends and I hope Maggy, Diana and Liz are much better soon.

Re: Posts for January 2010

Hello dear friends {smile}

I thought I would sit and write up a post for the message board before I head off to Neptune land {smile} The weather has been dreadful and we have so much snow and it all freezing that it has been very challenging getting everything done that has needed to be done.

We seem to have the weather straight from Siberia at the moment. Paul stayed at home today and yesterday and we did go and get supplies in today as although I had enough food to last us, the weather window has been closing in so I wanted to make sure that we had enough food for ourselves and the animals before everything freezes up yet again.

It was quite good going out today as it was the first day that I have been off the property since the day before Christmas Eve. That has also been due to the fact that Paul has been using my car because, although it is automatic, it is front wheel drive and there was no way that I can going to try and take the little MG out in this lot! I have been starting it up though to let the engine run for a while. {smile}I had enough dog food (kibble) to last for a few more days yet the forecast is not good with a lot more snow tomorrow and over the weekend. The main road have been ploughed and gritted but ours has not been and the councils are only now gritting the main roads so for us it is a nightmare as we live at the top of a hill (the upside is that we won’t get flooded). I said to Paul today that we had to get out and get some shopping done, ie fresh green veggies and fruit, I needed medicine from the doctors, and some other items so it was better to do that today rather than wait til tomorrow when we might get to the town yet not back up the hill again! So now all is well (apart from all the snow and it freezing out there) as the animals will all be fed. There is a lot more snow forecast for the weekend – I am fairly sick of it yet there is nothing we can do about it except just get on with it.

I picked up a new pair of specs as well today which is just for using a VDU screen – the difference has been amazing as I was having a problem with reading. Using the varifocals was giving me a good neck ache so this is much better and now I can get some more writing done in the next few days as I haven’t got to think about food for either animals or humans! {chuckle}

Fortunately we haven’t had power cuts yet as the weight of the frozen snow has been bring down power lines. Hopefully we will be ok yet it ensured that I sat and wrote a post for the board now just in case that happens. We do have plenty of wood and also Calor Gas so if we lose power then we could manage as the AGA is gas fired so we will be able to cook and have hot water. I feel so sorry for the people who have been without electricity for two nights in sub zero freezing temperatures. The weather forecast has just said that it will be the coldest night of the winter tonight…and they are showing on the tv all the disruption and chaos that is happening at the moment. They say we could have minus 20 and apparently we are only a few degrees warmer than the south Pole at the moment! {smile} Thousands of schools have been closed and I find this mind blowing as I remember when I was a child we had a lot more snow and the buses kept running, the roads were kept clear and we had to go to school! Everything seems to have come to a ruddy standstill. When you see on the other side of the North Side how the European countries manage compared to here it beggars belief. (that is my little rant over for now {smile}) Before I go on too much I think I will go through the posts as I have been intending to do this week else another day will have gone by {smile}

{{{elfina}} so good to read that your energies are returning to normal and I was very happy to hear that as you sounded so low before you left for Florida. I saw on the weather that you were having a cold spell which I know is unusual there and hope that it is a little warmer now. That was so sad to read about your neighbour. I managed to get all the decorations down yesterday although they are packed up in boxes ready to go back up into the loft. Michael didn’t make it here today because of the weather so I will get the trees boxed up and then Paul will have to help me get them all in the loft if Michael doesn’t get here tomorrow. Having these new VDU specs is great as I don’t get a cricked neck looking at the screen so hope that yours is now feeling a lot better by now and that the little heat pad worked a treat. Sending you some {{{hugs}}} across the Pond sweetie.

{{Maggy}}} we didn’t see the New Year in much either. I think it was so different with clive not being here as they always came between Christmas and New Year so we could celebrate it all together. I managed to be up as the clock changed to midnight as I was just shutting down my computer and saw the clock in the corner had changed. Good to read that you’re hip is a tad better and hope that it continues! I had this vision of the screws being out and then your hips not working though that is obviously not the case thank heavens! {{{hugs}}}

{{[diana}} so good to read that you have ~eliminated~ the problem and thank goodness for that! {{{hugs}}} I hope that you are now feeling a lot better dear friend. {{{hugs}}}} I need to re-read your astrological post to take that in… it has been lovely for me to get back into esoteric astrology again and have been managing to get quite a bit of posting done in my string in the astrodienst forum. Hopefully with it being more of a Mercury year we can both get back to some writing don’t you think? {smile} How are your mom and dad doing btw?

{{{kermit}} awww sending you a {{{hug}} and blowing a ~non germ filled Kiss~ across the Pond to you sweetie – who needs mistletoe! {smiling} I still have my cold hanging on in there though and hope that it can take itself somewhere else soon! {smile} You would have thought that this cold weather would have killed off all the germs and bugs! {smile} Wondering how Bobby got on with your snow when you had it. The pups have been having a great time of it here I must admit. It was quite difficult getting down to the bottom of the quarry today as the snow was so deep yet the birds were happy that I did as I took food down for them.

Well I am going to pop this post in for now dear friends and hope that everyone is well. At least I don’t have to worry about roads and having to get to the shops. The forecast is not good for the weekend I must admit and I will be happy when this cold spell finally gets a move on as it has just been going for too long now. it will happen when it is ready so I will just have to be patient along with the rest of the population of the UK. {smile}.

Will be back again tomorrow… til then leaving a {{{warm group hug}}} to {{{all}} who may enter…

With love always

Re: Posts for January 2010

Mermaid, What a terrible winter you all are having,so glad that you will be all warm and cosy AND well fed now the supplies are in .
We are quite the opposite: high 30's all weekend with 41o on Monday-the aircons will be going full bore.We bought another window one for the bedroom as the other had outdone itself--so we sleep well at night ! Dan has just bought a big one for the new room as it will cool most of the house as it will be situated opposite the kitchen windows.
We have had quite a deal of rain and haven't had to use the tank yet.

Unfortunately the vision of my hip is correct-find it so difficult to walk without my 4 wheel frame. There was inflama tion at the top of where the screws were put in-the specialist said-rest a lot !Funny funny !! I go back to see him and hear the verdict of operation or not next friday .
Dan is feeling much better now which means he thinks he can do what he did before his op-and he can't !! He was off to bed at 8pm last night and me an hour later !!
Today we are off to the local RSl club for lunch for a change.
Kermit,Hoping this new year will give you good health and happiness,and a big pat to Bon Bobbi and hugs to you.
Diana, passing Kidney stones is rated as about the worst pain ever-so happy you have got passed that problem.
Elfina,I agree with Mermaid, you do sound so much brighter now and hopefully enjoy the sun. I believe I heard that there were icicles hanging of the citrus fruit in Florida-so much for global warming-more cooling !

love Maggy
