Iles Chagos Islands: Forum

Dans cette section, toutes les lettres provenant des Chagossiens ou d'autres personnes voulant parler du problème chagossien seront les bienvenues. Il y a quelques règles à respecter toutefois:

  1. Les lettres anonymes ne seront pas publiées.

Lettres:

In this section, all the letters coming from Chagossians or other people wanting to speak about the Chagossian problem will be most welcome. However there are some guidelines to follow :

  1. Anonymous letters will not be published.
  2. The authors are held responsible for their writings.
  3. The webmaster has the full right to keep or delete letters, no complaints please.
  4. No letter with abusive content or insults will be accepted. In the same way, if differences in opinion are welcome, all letters favouring division among Chagossians will not be kept. We are in favour of the unity of all Chagossians and any unpacking of dirty linen will be done elsewhere.
  5. The letters with an electronic format (e-mail,...) will have the highest priority, the typed letters will come next, and manuscripts and all letters having to be introduced manually into this forum will receive the lowest priority. This work will be carried out when time is available.

The Illois caught the boat and Dr Ramgoolam decorated with the highest decoration

We are from Rep of Seychelles, one of the first Seychellois to go in exile - Austria lived some 25 years in Britian.

We were friends of Mr John Todd the first govenor of BIOT, we also knew the Moulinier family they leased one of the islands. Those that brought me up were friends of Philby and others at Cambridge University. We were privilaged to listen/take part in some of the debate then, Britian pulling out East of Suez. That was after the Zanzibar Revolution and the Mau Mau war. What strategy. We have also employed Illois on our former estate. One of them was Nurse of my daughter of Mauritian mother - today in Canada, with children. The step Dad former Head of Seychelles CID.

At the hight of Lady Tacther government in Office, the vietnamese and Sirlanka refugee and the Seychellois refugee crises - the Head line. We presented an unofficial plan to Lady government, the establishment, the UN, USA Officials/government and EU.

Given that the USA, South Africa, France, Britian had spent a great deal of money to change the system in seychelles this proving difficult - we the exile proposed that a resettlement program be set up on one of the island not Diego Garcia, under the supervisin of the International community, the Illois, the Seychellois exile, the Sirlankans, the Vietnamese and investors to set a colony on BIOT - cost £150 - £200 millions. We did a lot of work on this issue unofficial. It would have overcome the present delima and brought stability in the region( If called upon we can laise with the elite of the world Military and heads of States)

The author of this article is a trained interdisciplinary management executive 25 years exeperience. We were intrusted to concept a plan/project for the Seychllois exile return which we did/we are the author of the synergy/dynamic which started the initial preassure on the Polish government. There is no space to address the issues here. We made what is termed as interdisciplinary intervention in the affairs of the Soviet Union and other Nation to achieve at a particular result.

We have been active in the Illois issue some 30 years. We again make due impute in the media, court issues and political conference on such issues.

The true reason for the Illios inability to return earlier to BIOT is misrepresented. They were for greater military expiedency. Particyularly the regional situation.

We contributed to the research and setting up of IOC secretariat in Mauritius and the RIM association secretariat in Mauritius.

In the Seychelles there were some 500 Illois family. On the 23/03/06 Sir Soctam Bollel died, he had been involved in many of the issues in London. A great many do not know the the power issues behind Mauritius and Seychelles, Illois politic. Had it been wanted Dr Ramgoolam could have been kept out of Office.

The ugly power war needs light to be shed upon. Last night as the Illois were seting sail to BIOT and getting seasick for 3days, Dr Ramgool and his team was being welcomed in Paris By President #Chirac and decorated with the highest Honour in France. On the excuse he orcastrated the deal.

We have read this Forum thousands are being killed in the Middleast, many young USA soldiers. The Mauritian Nation are very fedup with the political situation - the police is in a mess.

As long as we have/exist this situation of a politic for the mass and a politic for the supremos. there will be no peace. democracy and stability. We may not get the chance to came back to the Forum. We thought after 33 years of struggle mention something on this Froum.

We are and will be called upon to make interdisciplinary interventions in the future in issues more complex than what it is currently. The Seychellois exile returned home after 18 years and they were painful.

It is not nice to see/read what we have, the Illois were treated in Seychelles for better than in Mauritius, the negative press we are getting and the Mauritian taking all the credits as usual.

There has been so much blood shed, sacrifice made, lives given. Nobody wish or want to grasp the dimention of the issues.

The Illois/ the Seychellois may be just sleppy people, the destiny of the world/mankind may hang on them. The Seychellois contributed importantly to certain mechanism in relation to former OAU - African Union today.

Mitchel
