I am starting on a low carb diet and I know I am going to have difficulty with breakfast. I usually have bran flakes, semi-skimmed milk and freshly squeezed orange juice. I do not want to have egg and bacon every morning - anyone have some good ideas please.
You could try the granola breakfast cereal recipe in the Low Carb / Low GI Cookbook at www.lowcarbiseasy.com/cookbook.htm, which is made from almonds, flaxmeal, sesame seeds and coconut, and top it with cream or unsweetened soya milk. The cookbook also contains recipes for low carb porridge and breakfast almond muffins. Or you could try some of the low carb bread recipes and have them toasted for breakfast with cheese, or even butter and low carb marmalade - you can find all these recipes in the Cookbook.
