Re: British Music Archive

Justin, you should still be able to listen to them. I was just able to.

Logging into the site, on the other hand, is a real hassle. I tried doing so, only to get a message that my email address and/or user name was invalid.

Re: British Music Archive

Is the site still up and running? I just tried it again, and all I'm getting is a message saying "infinite loop detected in JError". Anyone else having the same problem?

Re: British Music Archive

Yep, me too.

Re: British Music Archive

just tried http://www.britishmusicarchive.com/D/259-damascus/songs
worked fine - & I'm running the yukky Windows 8

Re: British Music Archive

Working for me too

Wow - The Mandrakes are great - esp. the later stuff--

some re-issue company should do a cd comp

Re: British Music Archive

Tanks a lot Matthias!

About other "unsung heroes", there were GNOME SWEET GNOME, at last they uploaded some of the several songs they recorded around 1970-72 on MySpace, along with some nice photos too: https://myspace.com/gnomesweetgnomes/music/songs

Re: British Music Archive

would like to save some more tracks from this website... any idea how?

Re: British Music Archive

Re: British Music Archive

Check here friends and brother in psychedelic arms. Here is their story and album released this year https://gnomesweetgnome.bandcamp.com/album/songs-from-suburbia
But this album is very far from golden 60's and not psychedelic. I would like to listen their version from the beginning of 70's.

Got in touch with Rick Cassman through GSGFB page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/6775398762) and he confirmed they are working on some old tapes for a possible 2023 release, so finger crossed.
That said, the "new" CD is good and much bettere than expected, so enjoy it
