Strange little record I'm listening to, today. It has a pretty awful album cover and came out on the Satril label. All my tomes (Tapestry of Delights, Galactic Ramble) are less than informative, but I know a couple of songs have shown up on Mixed up Minds. At points it has a bit of a proto power pop sound, or even proto glam. Then it has an almost novelty tune. 'Mr. Wright" is a more mellow tune along the lines of Barclay James Harvest, but simpler. The album has that "we'll try different things and see what will stick" feel to it. A bit like the Octopus album "Restless Nights".
I'm enjoying it fine, even if it isn't some masterpiece. From what I've read the 45 "Paradis Row" is released by Dog Rose, but not the same musicians as the album. But info is pretty slight on this group.
