The Executives

Not the wonderful UK Ginza Strip crowd but the Aussie Sunshine pop/sike band who despite a couple of LPs and a number of EPs and singles have been largely ignored for reissue since The Happening World Of The Executives in 1989! Both LP and CD versions of this are very rare. Their Moving In A Circle is much comped but well worth hearing is their 1968 single- Christopher Robin (sorry can't find this on Youtube), B: Summer Hill Road. Their first LP is also now very hard to find. So instead of countless reissues of stuff we already have how about someone puts together a 3 CD clamshell comp of this great band?

Re: The Executives

Thanks for these Paul, two great period songs. If Cherry Red / Grapefruit et al are reading this then please do check out the licensing on this band, a 3 cd clamshell set would indeed be very nice and the exposure of a genuinely overlooked band apart from 'Moving In A Cirlce'. Nice start to my day, cheers!

Glad you liked them Paul,

Here's one I forgot to add from 1970

Re: The Executives

Good tune, much more progressive by that stage. I don't recall the film it's from (Rabbit Run) nor read the John Updike novel it's based on but the plot sounds very familiar somehow. This band definitely needs anthologising that's for sure.
