Re: David McWilliams question

Does anyone know of any decent albums of 60's protest songs ?

Certainly do, Phil!
You might wanna start a dedicated thread narrowed down to the subject/title "Anti-War Protest Songs of the 60's" then you'll get enough to compile into dozens of CD length volumes, if you want. Otherwise you could get many thousands of 'protest' type albums, as protesting about the shit establishment was what the 60's head scene was all about.
Not all this album is just ant-war so much as anti straight society and includes also songs of love and drugs. Still, the first track became THE number one anti-vietnam war anthem for all time. Best heard and remembered with the real "gimmee an F" chant [gimme a U etc] at the beginning and not the corporate record machine's cunt's sanitised version they stuck on the LP and put out as a single to get airplays and make their dirty 'mreekano gringo dollars profits.
