Since I retired a few years back music collecting has become more or less a full time hobby. I found it helps if you have a good selection of resources to assist you in your quests. To this end I've bookmarked hundreds of websites covering everything from databases, blogs, record dealers, fanzines, band pages etc.

I thought I'd share a few that I visit frequently and deem fairly indispensible.

Top of my list and my No 1 go to site has to be Soulseek. I'm always amazed at the 'hit rate' when searching for rare and obscure stuff. I find it's well into the 90% range. You will need to install the user interface before you can access files via P2P. If you don't already have this installed you can get started here http://www.slsknet.org/

I never seem to be off Discogs....not that I buy much from there but it's such a useful resource. I used to spend ages looking for cover art and track lists from various sites, often without success. Discogs has become my one-stop-shop for art and info. If you use the filters you can troll through 10,000's of bands/artists, genres, sub genres etc discovering new stuff along the way. It's far from a completists wet dream but probably the biggest resource of its kind on the internet. https://www.discogs.com

Searchin' For Shakes is a great site if you want the lowdown on official compilations. It does a really good job, listing 1000's of titles and all their associated info such as track lists, labels, cat. numbers, release dates etc. They also list fanzines and the key articles contained therein. http://comps.soybomb.com/compsproject/intro.php?&lifilter=4&lispeed=1

Psychedelic Music comprises a database that covers band histories and discographies of many contemporary psych bands plus a few bands from earlier decades. To access the archive click "Bands" at top of the page. http://www.psychedelic-music.net/

There are lots of blogs that cover psych and garage music but a couple I rate are 'Ezhevika Fields' & 'Voyages Into Psychedelia'. Ezhevika Fields has been going for ages but still updates regularly. Both sites have a no frills simplicity that I like. Allowing you to browse quickly and download whatever takes your fancy in a matter of seconds. Both cover a broad range of musical styles but you can easily narrow the field to genres that suit your tastes. http://ezhevika.blogspot.com/ https://voyagesintopsychedelia.blogspot.com/search/label/Psychedelic%20Rock

If it's new releases you're looking for it helps to have a few sites that keep you abreast of what's current. From the following I doubt you'd miss out on much. I also like the fact that the first 3 allow you to sample whole or part albums.

The Psychedelic Underground Generation https://thepugrock.blogspot.com/
Bandcamp https://bandcamp.com/tag/psych?tab=all_releases
Spotify New Psychedelia https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2XNZ2Hdz76NkPqj3TTIH2i
ThePsychRock.Com https://thepsychrock.com/tag/psychedelic-rock/

If you have favourite sites you think we should know about feel free to add them to the list.

Enjoy
