Re: Thinking about Schneider

I don't know where your from but try calling information in Sikeston Missouri for the CDTA. Commercial Driver Training Acadamy. If you can't find it let me know and I will see if I can still find the card I had from when I attended. Ask for DArlene. This is a great place to start.
Depending on what you want and need is how much your tuition is. I was local so I didn't need hotel or food expense. But if your not your tuition can include a bus ticket to Sikeston where someone from the school will pick you and an take you to the hotel. You are put up in a hotel, the school van will pick you up and take you back everyday. And you get the continental breakfast at the hotel, lunch of your choice delivered to the school and then a ride back to the hotel at the end of the day where you have dinner.
The schooling is for 15 day for 11 hours a day. The trainers there are excellent. Very fun, supportive and very encouraging. I really had a great time while I was there. Really going to miss these guys. Darlene in the front office is wonderful. If this lady can not find you a job then you must have something terrible on your mvr is all I can say. The first week I was there I had 10 pre hires.
They have several ways you can finance your schooling it is much cheaper if you can pay cash. But if not there is many options of financing. Also most of the company's that I had pre hires threw had tuition rembursent. My tuition payments where defferen for one year, but the company I have choosen to go with start paying my tuition after my first thirty days with the company.
I highly recommend you check out this school if your really wanting to get your cdl. There where students there from all over the country. And they not only have the truck training to get your cdl but they also offer heavy equipment training as well if your more interested in that program.
Call information for Sikeston Missouri for the Commercial Driver Training Acadamy to get the number. If you can't find it let me know and I will get the number for you. I just completed the training on the 21st of this month. And I start with the Stevens company on August 10. I could have started sooner but I needed to get some things done around here at home first. Good luck and I hope this helps you out... Angie
