Dear Partners World Wide, I bring to you my (Dr. Diana Brevan) ponderings this today. May the Lord richly bless you and yours as we go right into to today’s ponderings prayer and the Word.




My name is Dr. Diana Brevan Where Jesus is Lord!
Standing Before God’s Open Door
1 Corinthians 16:8-9


 But I will stay on at Ephesus until Pentecost, 9 because a great door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many who oppose me.



This is the most exciting time in human history to be alive and serving the Lord. When I think about the unparalleled door of opportunity that stands before us to reach the entire world for Jesus, I am tremendously motivated and inspired. The apostle Paul must have felt the same way when he wrote to the Corinthians and told them of “the wide door for effective service” that God had opened for him in Ephesus. (1 Corinthians 16:9)
God is like that. He is opening doors for each of us all the time. Every day of our lives, we wake up to new opportunities to affect others for good. When we follow Jesus, we begin to understand that doors do not just swing ajar as we approach them; every opportunity signifies that Someone has gone before us to open that door. The only question is, Will you walk through the doorway or keep to your own path?
There is a door open before all of us today. It is the most awesome door in history, representing the most important thing in the mind of God and the primary task of the church and the kingdom: the redemption of mankind.
As followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, we are all under a commission. (Matthew 28:19-20) We have been given the assignment from almighty God to get the Gospel to every person on the face of the globe. It is not a matter of choice; we are under obligation. We stand before an open door. Are you willing to step through it?
