Lord as we gather this day we ask that you bless those that are delivering your word especially our Senior Pastor Dr Diana Brevan. We also ask that all those receiving your word will do so with a open heart and that your message will be written in their spirit,

We also hold up the Leadership of Jesus is Lord Fellowship and pray that you will build a hedge of protection around their lives.

As Dr Diana comes to the podium let us take a moment to bow our heads in prayer.
Today let us remember to prayer today for ourselves. For our own needs in health, wealth and happiness and for our spiritual wellbeing and growth
As we pray also let us hold up all the prayer requests that we have received this past week. Let us also be in agreement with the unspoken prayers that lay in each of our hearts.
Let us lift up all those that have been called as Prayer Warriors, that they may have the Lords strength as they pray and that a hedge of protection may surround them and their families
Let us also prayer for the needs of our local Church including the needs of Jesus is Lord Fellowship WWI. Let us as God for provisions so that His church may be able to continue the work that He has set aside for it. Let us pray for those that have been called to leadership in His church that they may have strength and a Godly vision at all times. Let us place a hedge of protection around Leaders and their families so that they may be healed from all health problems.

Let us pray that as we listen today our heart and our inner soul will be open to the words so that we may feed freely on the message and drink from the Holy Spirit.

Why We Worship
Dr. Diana Brevan

Lucifer was the anointed Cherub who was created to lead the angels of heaven to worship God.

To understand worship, we have to look deep into the annals of scriptures and very far back in time.

For it is here were we find not only the one thing that has always been closest to the Heart of God, but we also find out why the devil hates us so much and is doing everything he can to keep us from Worshipping our God.

The name, Lucifer, means 'day star,' or 'son of the morning.'
Many recognize Satan as the degraded name of Lucifer, the fallen and disgraced archangel of God.
But what most people do not know is that prior to his downfall, Lucifer was a magnificent being with an amazing and unique ministry.

Lucifer is one of three archangels mentioned in Scripture.
He was created, by God, just as all the angels were, but his role was different from the other angelic hosts.

He was referred to as the 'covering angel.'
Just as the cherubim covered the mercy seat of the Ark of the Covenant, Lucifer was established by God to be the angel of worship, one whose ministry surrounded the heart of Heaven.
He was created by God to dwell eternally in the throne room of heaven and in the very presence of God (Ezekiel 28:14).

According to Ezekiel 28:13, he was an amazing being to behold: "You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering: the sardius, topaz, and diamond, beryl, onyx, and jasper, sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes was prepared for you on the day you were created."

These timbrels and pipes were the instruments he would use to bring all of Heaven to Worship God.

To dwell in the awesome presence of a perfect and Holy God, Lucifer had to be perfect.
There was nothing ordinary or plain about his appearance.
Adorned with gold and precious stones, he truly fit the name, 'Son of the Morning.'
He was a step above the other angels, not only in appearance but also in intellect.
His wisdom far exceeded that of other angelic beings.
He understood the ways of God.

But Lucifer's splendor and beauty did not last forever.

While ministering to God, he began to consider his own position of prominence.
He became prideful, believing that he deserved more than what he already had.
He wanted to become like the Most High.

Isaiah 14 reveals the fall of Lucifer from the heights of Heaven, which resulted in his status as the demonic creature that he is today:

"How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning...For you have said in your heart: 'I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation on the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.'"

Lucifer had wisdom, beauty, ability, perfection, and yet he wanted more.
He wanted to be worshiped like God.
But understand something today, God does not share His glory, nor does He permit another to receive His worship.

So before Lucifer had a chance to cause Heaven to worship Himself instead of God, he was removed from the presence of God.
He was cast out of heaven like a bolt of lightning, Jesus said.
Stripped of his beauty, his position, his rights to Heaven and his opportunity to be a worshipper of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords…
His constant attempt ever since has been to oppose the mighty plan of God.

Lucifer's name, 'son of the morning,' was given to a far more deserving individual, the Son of God. Jesus Christ is called the 'Bright and Morning Star' (Revelation 22:16).

Satan is not an equal and opposite of God as claimed by many!
There is no Yin and Yang – or balance between God and Satan. God being the ultimate of Good and Satan being the Ultimate of Bad.
Satan is not the opposite of God – He is an angelic being who was created by God to worship God and who lost his level of perfection and glory because he attempted to cause 1/3 of Heavens angels to worship him instead of the God he was created to worship.

Pride overtook his heart, and sin cost him everything.

He was and still is debased beyond any creature or spirit in Heaven or on the Earth.

And it is only through deceit and lies that he gains a foothold in people’s lives.

Understand something… Pride sometimes follows talent.
Someone who is able to do things that no one else can do is sometimes prone to pride.
“I can do it and you can’t.”

Lucifer was able to do something for God that God could not do for Himself and that is Worship.

Since Lucifer was able to do something that even God could not do (It was the only thing that God could not do) He became prideful - or full of pride.

Then Lucifer became rebellious and then attempted to cause the angels to worship him instead of God.
When He did this, the scriptures say that he fell from heaven as lightning.
No time for repentance.
No second chances.
No opportunity to create more damage in heaven.

So he is cast down from being one of Heavens’ archangels to the debased state of a spiritual serpent.

No glory
On his belly.
Completely prostrate before God and man both spiritually and authoritatively.


There is no telling how long God went without worship.
It could have been eons of time or it may have only been a few moments.

But then Adam was created.
And with Adam, the Human Race.

The bible teaches us that Adam taught his sons to worship God.
It is clear that from the day Adam was created that he would become the object of God’s affection and the source of God’s worship and praise.
In fact, it was from this first family on the Earth that we have an example of how to offer a proper sacrifice to the Lord.

Understand something, man was created to worship God.
Lucifer’s worship was not true heartfelt worship.
His worship came only out of obedience and obligation and not from his heart.
He played – not to please God, but to please himself.
He sang not to bless the Lord, but to bless himself.

“Don’t I sound good?”
“Don’t I look good?”
“Hey, are you watching me?”
PRIDE!

But a redeemed mankind would praise God from their hearts.
Because He is our savior, we would worship Him.
We would worship him not because we are commanded to, but because we love Him and because He loves us.

We worship because He gives us Joy.
We worship because He fills us with His Spirit.
We worship because He draws near to us when we praise Him.
We worship because it’s our privilege.
We worship because we know that He enjoys it when we worship Him.

John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Our worship doesn’t come from our intellect.
It comes from our Hearts.

Our worship doesn’t come from a shallow consciousness of God.
It comes from deep down inside our very souls.

I wonder, today, if there is anyone here who God has been good to.
I wonder if there is anyone here who He has blessed.

I was lost and all alone before He found me.
I worshiped the creature more than the creator before He found me.

But Amazing Grace How Sweet The Sound That Saved A Wretch Like Me.

I don’t deserve to have His grace.
I’m not good enough to stand in His presence.
It’s because of His grace and His love for me that I am standing here today.

I don’t know about you, but I love Him.
He’s been good to me.
He’s healed my body.
He’s healed my mind.
He’s delivered me from my past.
He’s guaranteed my future.
He deserves my Praise.
He deserves my Worship.

I just want to say this this morning…
Lucifer was a fool to mess up his opportunity to Worship God.
It’s no wonder he is such a miserable being.
To not be able to worship God, to me, would be a horrible position to be in.

Aren’t you glad for the opportunity to be a worshipper today?

If you want to know why the devil doesn’t like you or why he is trying to destroy you, it’s because God would rather hear your praise today than his.

He doesn’t want Satan’s tired old worn out Prideful noise,

God wants to hear your loving praise and your heartfelt worship.
The Bible says He inhabits the praises of His people.

If you want or need God to show up in your situation, go to praising Him.
Go to worshipping Him.
Just begin to magnify Him above your problems and watch the salvation of the Lord.

I’m so thankful for the opportunity to be a worshipper.
Before I am anything, I am a worshipper.
Before I am a Pastor, I am a worshipper.
Before I am a father or a husband, I am a worshipper.

I’ll always be a worshipper.
On the day that I die, you won’t hear my worship any longer, because I will be taking my worship to the throne room of Heaven.


I hope my worship does not offend you.
I hope that my love for Him does not insult you.
But if it does, all I can say is, “I’m sorry, and Praise the Lord!”
You weren’t there the day He found me.
You didn’t see the mess I was in.
You don’t know the trouble of my life.

I don’t expect you to understand why I’m so emotional when I talk about Him, but I know this…
If you will let Him.
If you really want Him to…

He’ll heal you too.
He’ll touch you too.
He’ll take the pain of your life and turn it into joy.
He’ll take all the sin and shame and give you a reason to praise Him and worship Him.
He loves you more than my words can describe.
He gave his life on Calvary just for you!

He’s an Amazing God!
He’s an Awesome God!
He’s the Almighty God!
And I love Him!
I adore Him!
I worship Him!

Why do we worship Him?
We worship Him because He is God alone!
We worship Him because He loves us in spite of our circumstances!
We worship Him because He is our healer and our deliverer.
We worship Him because it makes the devil mad and defeats his efforts in our lives.
We worship God because God enjoys our worship!

If you want to feel the presence of God – worship Him!
If you want to feel the Power of God, Worship Him!
If you need a miracle in your life right now, Worship Him!
If you need deliverance from some kind of bondage in your life right now, Worship Him!
