Dear Partners World Wide, I bring to you my (Dr. Diana Brevan) ponderings this today. May the Lord richly bless you and yours as we go right into to today’s ponderings prayer and the Word.




Folks are you ready today for the Word of the Lord?

Are you ready for the Word of the Lord this day?

Please take out your Bibles and get prepared for

A great Word that the Lord has in store for you this day,

Many times in my life I have heard people say they have no time for the Lord, how can you have time in a busy society this day, they would ask me. Do you know something you have no time for someone whom always has time for you get that alarm clock working 20 minutes or a half hour ahead and I am not saying to stay in bed and to let the alarm clock ring for you to stay in bed in that time frame I am saying place the one and only first, whom always places you first, whom shed His blood for you, whom always is there when you call Him.

Folks I believe in order to experience the true riches of the abundant life God has given us, we really need to make Him top priority. By asking ourselves some straight forward questions and answering Him honestly, we can discover where God fits in our lives. I have found that when I place Him first and follow His leading, everything else always falls right into place.

Folks what does it really mean to seek first the Kingdom?

Open up your Bibles to the scripture in Matthew22:37.

Many years ago, I remember in my heart hearing the scripture: You shall love the Lord Your God with all of Your Heart all of Your soul and with all of Your Mind.

Did you know right away this scripture began to bother me, because back than I knew God was not first in my life? Don’t get me wrong for all of my life I always loved God, but He just wasn’t first in my life back than. All I was doing was putting my time in with Him thankfully. God used this scripture to drive me to seek a deeper relationship with Him,

and with the Lord Trumpet music with the Lords Organ music. I have played since I was seven years old. For example today if I place my marriage first before the Lord, my marriage will suffer. The same is true if I place my children or our dogs, or our grandchildren before the Lord. All though all of the above is very important in my life, and my husband is very important today, God must be first.

If He isn’t first I will not have the strength and the ability to have and enjoy a relationship with them or anyone else that is in my life. Putting God first means to put His ways first--- to live the way He would live-In other words, what God love’s, we learn to love what God hates, we learn to hate.

For example, God loves people so we need to learn to love people. God hates evil so we need to learn to hate evil. One of the best ways to see how God would live is to observe the way Jesus lived. In John 14:6 Lets turn there. 6Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

What does Jesus say? He says I am the Way, and the truth, and the life. You know folks I do believe one of the things He is saying here is, If you study my life you will see how I treated people, how I handled situations and how I fellowshipped with the Father. If you follow my example you will be blessed.

Jesus really got this point across in Matthew6:33 are you there in Matthew6:33 let’s read 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

What did He say here, He said, Seek (aim at it and strive after) FIRST of all of His Kingdom and righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and than all these things taken together will be given you besides. Seeking the Kingdom of God means learning through how He operates and what’s important to Him than doing things His way through the power of the Spirit. When you and I seek FIRST the kingdom, everything else comes along with it-Peace-Joy-Righteousness-good relationships-health-success, breakthrough what ever we need.

How can you determine your Priorities?

The best way I found how to determine if God is first in my life is to slow down and ask myself some simple questions: what do I think about the most? What is the first thing on my mind in the morning and the last thing on my mind at night? What do I pray and talk about the most? What subjects fill my conversations with God and with others? What do I do with my time? If we spend an hour a week praying and 15 hours a week playing golf, than golf is a higher priority than God.

The truth is we make time for what we really want to do. We all have the same number of hours in a day and for the most part, we each set our own schedule. If we want to spend time with God, then we must make Him priority. What about your money? Ask yourself is it easy for me to spend money on a new outfit, another pair of earrings or something for my car or buy something for my hubby. But than its difficult to obey God at offering time? Do I find it easier to spend money on eating out than on something to feed my spirit?

Money itself is not evil-It’s the love of money that is a root of all evil. If I love God more than money, I can use my money the way God tells me and be at peace. However, If I love my money more than I love God, I am probably going to get upset or act like I did not hear Him when He asks me to do something with it that I don’t want to do.

Now I have nothing against having money or things, but we can not chase after them or put our trust in them. Things can either break or be stolen. Money can be lost or stolen as well open up your Bibles to: Matthew 6:19-21 19"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Well Folks I do pray you got something out of this sermon study this day that the Lord has given you today.
