Opening Prayer
Lord as we gather this day we ask that you bless those that are delivering your word especially our Senior Pastor Dr Diana Brevan. We also ask that all those receiving your word will do so with a open heart and that your message will be written in their spirit,

We also hold up the Leadership of Jesus is Lord Fellowship and pray that you will build a hedge of protection around their lives.

Praise and Worship:

At the Cross

Alas! and did my Savior bleed
And did my Sov'reign die?
Would He devote that sacred head
For such a worm as I?

At the cross, at the cross where I first saw the light
And the burden of my heart rolled away
It was there by faith I received my sight
And now I am happy all the day

Thy body slain, sweet Jesus, Thine
And bathed in its own blood
While the firm mark of wrath divine
His soul in anguish stood

Was it for crimes that I had done
He groaned upon the tree?
Amazing pity! grace unknown!
And love beyond degree!

Well might the sun in darkness hide
And shut his glories in
When Christ, the mighty Maker died
For man the creature's sin

Thus might I hide my blushing face
While His dear cross appears
Dissolve my heart in thankfulness
And melt my eyes to tears

But drops of grief can ne'er repay
The debt of love I owe
Here, Lord, I give myself away
'Tis all that I can do

I Do Believe

Some say faith is just believing,
Others say it's self deceiving,
Inventing childish dreams to get us through,
But deep inside me there a yearning
for true wisdom not just learning,
I'd trade all my clever questions
for one answer that is true.

(Chorus)
I do believe, You are the One
The home I long to find,
My only Hope, God's only Son
I do believe
I touch, I see that all along
You've longed to be
My Lord, My God.

Lord, You know I need some answers,
Questions eat at me like cancer,
Make me once again a simple child,
Help me take the risk of losing,
Lose it all to find in choosing,
To believe You are the answer,
Earth and Heaven reconciled.

I do believe, You are the one
The home I long to find,
My only hope, God's only Son
I do believe
I touch, I see that all along
You've longed to be...
Forever
The moon and stars they wept
The morning sun was dead
The Savior of the world was fallen
His body on the cross
His blood poured out for us
The weight of every curse upon him

One final breath He gave
As Heaven looked away
The Son of God was laid in darkness
A battle in the grave
The war on death was waged
The power of hell forever broken

The ground began to shake
The stone was rolled away
His perfect love could not be overcome
Now death where is your sting
Our resurrected King has rendered you defeated

Forever, He is glorified
Forever, He is lifted high
Forever, He is risen
He is alive
He is alive

The ground began to shake
The stone was rolled away
His perfect love could not be overcome
Now death where is your sting
Our resurrected King has rendered you defeated

Forever, He is glorified
Forever, He is lifted high
Forever, He is risen
He is alive
He is alive
Forever, forever

You have overcome
Your resurrected King
You have overcome the grave
You have overcome

We sing Hallelujah
We sing Hallelujah
We sing Hallelujah
The Lamb has overcome

We sing Hallelujah
We sing Hallelujah
We sing Hallelujah
The Lamb has overcome

We sing Hallelujah
We sing Hallelujah
We sing Hallelujah
The Lamb has overcome

We sing Hallelujah
We sing Hallelujah
We sing Hallelujah
The Lamb has overcome

We sing Hallelujah
We sing Hallelujah
We sing Hallelujah
The Lamb has overcome

We sing Hallelujah
We sing Hallelujah
We sing Hallelujah
The Lamb has overcome

Forever, He is glorified
Forever, He is lifted high
Forever, He is risen
He is alive
He is alive (Forever)

Forever, He is glorified
Forever, He is lifted high
Forever, He is risen
He is alive
He is alive

_Why Do You Look For The Living Among The Dead

Sn.Pastora Dr.Diana Brevan

1Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had pre-pared, and certain others with them. 2And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. 3And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. 4And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining gar-ments: 5And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? 6He is not here, but is risen:
Luke 24:1-6

Today we honor and celebrate one of the most Holy Days in Christian-dom, Easter.

The name Easter itself is not symbolic of the resurrection of Christ but has its roots in pagan history.

"Easter" is derived from Eastre, or Eostre, the Anglo-Saxon Goddess of spring and dawn. There also is some historical connection exist-ing between the words "Easter" and "East," where the sun rises. The festival of Eostre was celebrated on the day of the Vernal Equinox (spring).

But as in other pagan Holidays, Christianity has taken this day to celebrate the resurrection of Christ. Many years ago the Christian faith was the minority among heathen religions, and as Christian workers only had the time off for pagan holidays they chose pagan holidays such as Christmas and Easter to celebrate the birth and resurrection of Christ.

Really today we celebrate “Resurrection Sunday”, but since the term Easter Sunday is so prevalent now, that’s ok if the Celebrate East-er, because most of us here have no knowledge of pagan origins, we just see Easter as the time to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Some get all bent out of shape over these things but the scripture tells us in Col 2:16

16Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: 17Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
Col 2:16-17

If we choose Easter Sunday to Celebrate the Resurrection of Christ, we can dishonor the pagan traditions by turning there holiday into HIS holiday and not worry about the judgment of men because we have respect of a holyday.

Yet we remember and we celebrate in a living situation, not among the dead, because Christ is alive, the spirit of Christ is with us.

We find that the scripture tells us that some women went to the sep-ulcher of Christ, Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, probably to mourn the passing of the Saviour and instead found 2 angels, called men in shining garments, who told them a truth.

Why Do You Look For The Living Among The Dead for He is Risen

They were looking among the dead for the Saviour, but they weren’t going to find the Saviour among the dead.

And this is a lesson we have to learn in our Christian experience is that we will not find him among the dead; we will only find him among the living!

Revelations 3:1-2 speaks to us about a situation that involved the living and the dead

1And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. 2Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
Revelations 3:1-2

The Angel spoke about the church of Sardis, and he said you have a name that you live

Where did they get that name from?? MAN

Man said How Great This Is
Man said This Is So Alive
Man said The Saviour is here

But the angel said your dead, and as we read in our text scripture:

Why Do You Look For The Living Among The Dead

Just because man has given something a reputation that it’s alive doesn’t mean that God views it the same way!

And you might say to me, But“Pastora how do I know the difference”?

We can go to the scripture and look for some examples of death and life.

1And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 3Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by na-ture the children of wrath, even as others.
Ephesians 2:1-3

How do you know you’re among the dead?

The dead follow the course of this world, they go with the flow
The dead’s conversations are be full of lust
The dead’s desires of the flesh and the mind will be fulfilled
The dead will walk in trespasses and sins
The dead will try to justify there actions
The dead have a form of Godliness but deny the power 2 Timothy 3:5

You see the graveyard is the graveyard of sin, and the Lord has called his people out of death in life.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ opens a new way that we can have a new and powerful way of life.

Not rooted in the lusts and the sins of the flesh

But rooted in the power of His spirit!

1What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? 3Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5For if we have been planted togeth-er in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
Romans 6:1-5

Resurrection Sunday exists so we can experience our own personal resurrection in our life by the power and the glory of the father!

If we walk in trespasses and sins, conversation full of lust, ful-filling the desires of the flesh, going with the flow, justifying our actions, denying the power of his spirit;

Then We Need Our Own Personal Resurrection!

And you wont find the resurrected among the dead, when the dead are resurrected they leave the graveyard and go among the living!

This is the beautiful thing about the resurrection of Jesus Christ, it foreshadowed the personal resurrection of all those who would walk with him!

You see we were all dead in the trespasses and sins of life; some worse than other but all have sinned and come short of the glory of God as the scripture declares.

There’s not a person so good that they don’t need God, Hebrews 6:1 speaks about a foundation of repentance from dead works.

If we are among the dead, we need to repent of our dead works!

The scripture we read in Romans 6 spoke about a typology in that as Christ died and was buried we go down in the waters of baptism and as Christ was resurrected by the glory of the Father it is that spirit of the Holy Ghost that he empowers the believer with to rise from the dead!

You might say to me what about my Father what about my brother, Je-sus clearly speaks to these situations

22But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.
Matthew 8:22

If Jesus calls us its time to follow him, time to follow the master, Jesus Christ.

Its time to leave the graveyard, your not going to find the living there.

My Name Is Senior Pastora, Dr.Diana Brevan
Now we will observe the Lord’s Supper:
What Is The Holy Communion?

The Holy Communion, known also as the Lord’s Supper, represents the greatest expression of God’s love for His people.

Two items are used in the Holy Communion—the bread which represents Jesus’ body that was scourged and broken before and during His crucifixion, and the cup which represents His shed blood.

When Jesus walked on earth, He was vibrant, and His body was full of life and health. He was never sick. But before Jesus went to the cross, He was badly scourged by the Roman soldiers, and His body was torn as He hung on the cross.

At the cross, God also took all our sicknesses and diseases and put them on Jesus’ originally perfect and healthy body, so that we can walk in divine health. That is why the Bible says by His stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5, 1 Peter 2:24).

In Luke 22:20, Jesus tells us that the cup is the “new covenant in My blood”, and the apostle Paul tells us that the blood of Jesus brings forgiveness of sins (Colossians 1:14, Ephesians 1:7).

Why Do Believers Partake Of The Holy Communion?

Besides being born again in Christ, a healthy body and mind are the greatest blessings anyone can have. And the Holy Communion is God’s ordained channel of healing and wholeness.

On the night that He was betrayed, Jesus ate His last supper with His disciples. And knowing what He would accomplish through His sacrifice, He instituted the Holy Communion (Luke 22:19–20, 1 Corinthians 11:24–25).

His loving instruction is that we are to remember Him as we partake of the Holy Communion. Jesus wanted us conscious of how His body was broken for our wholeness, and His blood was shed for the forgiveness of our sins. And whenever we partake in this consciousness, we “proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes” (1 Corinthians 11:26).

Today, when we partake of the bread, we are declaring that Jesus’ health and divine life flows in our mortal bodies. And when we partake of the cup, we are declaring that we are forgiven and have been made righteous. Jesus’ blood gives us right standing before God, and we can go boldly into God’s presence (Hebrews 4:16). When we pray, we can be sure that God hears us!
