Where we make a difference in People’s lives

Opening Prayer
Lord as we gather this day we ask that you bless those that are delivering your word especially our Senior Pastor Dr Diana Brevan. We also ask that all those receiving your word will do so with a open heart and that your message will be written in their spirit,

We also hold up the Leadership of Jesus is Lord Fellowship and pray that you will build a hedge of protection around their lives.

Praise and Worship:
Song 1

Salvation Is Here

God above all the world in motion
God above all my hopes and fears
And I don't care what the world throws at me now
I'm gonna be alright
Hear the sound of the generations
Making loud our freedom song
All in all that the world would know Your name
It's gonna be alright
Cause I know my God saved the day
And I know His word never fails
And I know my God made a way for me
Salvation is here
Salvation is here
Salvation is here and He lives in me
Salvation is here
Salvation that died just to set me free
Salvation is here
Salvation is here and He lives in me
Salvation is here
Cause You are alive and You live in me

Song 2

All I Need Is You

Left my fear by the side of the road
Hear You speak
Won't let go
Fall to my knees as I lift my hands to pray

Got every reason to be here again
Father's love that draws me in
And all my eyes wanna see is a glimpse of You

All I need is You
All I need is You Lord
Is you Lord

One more day and it's not the same
Your spirit calls my heart to sing
Drawn to the voice of my Saviour once again
Where would my soul be without Your Son
Gave His life to save the earth
Rest in the thought that You're watching over me

All I need is You
All I need is You Lord
Is You Lord

You hold the universe
You hold everyone on earth
You hold the universe
You hold
You hold

Song 3

Shout To The Lord

My Jesus, My Savior
Lord there is none like You
All of my days
I want to praise
The wonders of Your mighty love

My Comfort, My Shelter
Tower of refuge and strength
Let every breath
And all that I am
Never cease to worship You

Shout to the Lord
All the earth
Let us sing
Power and majesty
Praise to the King
Mountains bow down
And the seas will roar
At the sound of Your Name

I sing for joy at the work of Your hands
Forever I'll love you
Forever I'll stand
Nothing compares to the promise I have in You

My Jesus, My Saviour
Lord there is none like You
All of my days
I want to praise
The wonders of Your mighty love

Your my comfort (My comfort)
And my shelter(My Shelter)
Your my Tower of refuge and strength
let every breath
All that I am
Never cease to worship you

Shout to the Lord
All the earth
Let us sing
Power and majesty
Praise to the King
Mountains bow down
And the seas will roar
At the sound of Your Name

I sing for joy at the work of Your hands
Forever I'll love you
Forever I'll stand
Nothing compares to the promise I have in You

Shout to the Lord
All the earth
Let us sing
Power and majesty
Praise to the King
Mountains bow down
And the seas will roar
At the sound of Your Name

I sing for joy at the work of Your hands
Forever I'll love you
Forever I'll stand
Nothing compares to the promise I have in You

DON'T PRAY THIS PRAYER

Pastor Diana Brevan

Good Evening Folks:
Let's open up our Bibles to Luke Chapter 14:16-24:
This evening you will follow me with the King James Version this
evening as the Lord guided me with this sermon studies it turned out
this way as I was writing it due to Your Pastor Diana loves to deep
search and this evening it came to this amen.
For those whom does not understand you can seek your answers in the
concordances I recommend the String's Exhaustive of the Bible
Concordance,

Which I feel is one of the best to have as one of your tools at your
side in your home. Also I recommend the Strong's dictionary as well,
if you further do not understand what I will share this evening in
the sermon.

You are welcome to contact Pastor Diana myself or any of the staff
Leadership in Jesus is Lord Fellowship and we will all assist you.
Even though I do understand a few are out with plague and one right
now is without a computer due to a crash. I truly miss them all amen.
I have faith they all shall return soon in Jesus mighty name.

Now are you there yet? In the book Of Luke Chapter 14 16-24 lets
begin to read

LUKE 14:16-24

Then said he unto him, a certain man made a great supper, and bade
many;
And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden,
Come; for all things are now ready.
And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said
unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and
see it: I pray thee have me excused.
And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove
them: I pray thee have me excused.
And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.
So that servant came, and showed his lord these things. Then the
master of the house being angry said to his servant, God out quickly
into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor,
and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind.
And the servant said, Lord it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet
there is room.
And the lord said unto the servant, God out into the highways and
hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
For I say unto you, that none of those men which were bidden shall
taste of my supper.

Probably no one here enjoys eating more than I do. To sit down at a
good meal is a fulfilling desire that I have. Probably many of you
share that same feeling.
The cry of "it's supper time" is one we all cherish to hear. No
one in their right mind wants to miss supper time. It does not
matter how busy you are or how caught up in outside activity you may
be, you don't want to miss supper time.
As I look around tonight and see the activities that are going on
among us and all the busyness that has crept into our lives, I come
to remind you that it's almost supper time. You don't want to miss
it.

The song describes it better than I:

Jesus has a table spread where the saints of God are fed,
He invites his chosen people come and dine;
With his manna he doth feed and supplies our every need,
O tis sweet to sup with Jesus all the time.

Soon the lamb will take His bride to be every at his side,
All the host of heaven will assembled be;
O twill be a glorious sight, all the saints in spotless white;

And with Jesus they will feast eternally.
Come and dine the Master calleth, Come and dine.
You may feast at Jesus table all the time.
He who fed the multitude, turned the water into wine,
To the hungry calleth now, "Come and dine".
And now without a drum roll, I'd like to introduce what I consider
the worst prayer ever prayed. I read it in my text and it says, "I
pray thee, have me excused!"

The supper was significant and important. Lest you think this
unnecessary to observe, Matthew compared it to the kingdom of heaven
when he recorded, "The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king,
which made a marriage for his son….' (Matthew 22:2 KJV) This was a
parable about the Kingdom of heaven and as such, needs our undivided
attention.

It was a great feast concerning the marriage of the King's son and is
an example that points to the marriage supper of the Lamb. What we
have to observe here is that this is a story that describes our
invitation to the marriage supper of the Lamb. To miss this supper
is to miss eternal life!

And they prayed to be excused! This was by far the most important
invitation of their lives. And Matthew says, "but they made light of
it…"
These individuals were not serious about the invitation. Excuses
were made; reasons were given; prior obligations were presented.

One had purchased a piece of ground and needed to go see it. Another
had bought oxen for farming and needed to go try them out. Another
had recently married a wife and begged off.

I'd like to call these three `two fools and a hen-pecked husband'.
Unworthy excuses. Absolutely pitiful reasons for not attending. No
rhyme or reason in their rationale for bypassing the greatest
function they could ever hope to attend.

How horrible these men who made excuse! What could they be thinking
about? Did they not know this was a matter of life or death? Had
they not considered that this invitation was the greatest thing to
ever happen to them?
Come on; let's think of other reasons to be critical of them. Yet
when we do, we are haunted by the memory of our own excuses.

I'm tired. Been doing this for decades; someone else needs to carry
the load; it's not right for me to continue doing all the work.

Too busy. Got too many irons in the fire; don't have time to
dedicate my life like I once did; I need a break from this way of
life.

I've matured. Don't need to do that any longer to stay close to God;
I've got it made with my tenure; I know better now than I once did.

It's a control factor. If I can't be in control, I won't do it; I
know what's best not someone else; I can do it better.

Got plenty of time. We've been talking about this for years; no need
to rush things; God is merciful and He'll understand.

We've come to the point of time in history that we must not, cannot,
dare not, make light of this invitation. He's coming and has
prepared the marriage supper for you and I to enjoy eternally.

Weak excuses won't get the job done. It matters not how long we've
been around or how many positions we've held. It is imperative we
accept the invitation.
Two men decided to do the unusual and go fishing one Sunday.
Normally they would have attended church but they felt it would be
o.k. to miss one service since the fish were supposed to be biting.

As they were sitting in the boat on the lake, one of the men said, "I
really should be in church today."

The other replied, "I couldn't have gone anyway; my wife is sick."

Any excuse is weak and feeble. Any excuse we give is not
sufficient. You are invited…prepare to go.

"And they all with one consent began to make excuse…" Various
excuses. Multiple reasons. But none acceptable.

Please hear what I say as I finish the dialog of the parable. They
prayed to be excused. This was their request to the King, "please I
pray thee, have me excused."

So that you will grasp the importance of praying, a prayer does not
have to be a lengthy and vocal conversation. It can be expressed in
an attitude or behavior. Our actions can clearly define how we wish
things to be. Our attitude can describe in detail our intent with
never a word spoken.

Anyone here believe in answered prayer? Yes, we all do, so we must
be careful of what we pray for. The parable concludes with an
answered prayer.

God will take your rejection of the invitation seriously. He will
take your refusal seriously. He will take your prayer seriously.
Notice the King's response to the prayer. "For I say unto you, that
none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper."

Those who prayed to be excused were excused. They never enjoyed the
wonderful feast. They never partook of the fellowship. Their prayer
was answered.

Jesus Christ has extended to you and me an invitation.

"Come unto me all ye…."

"If any man thirst, let him come and drink…"

"Whoso every will, let him come…"

"Come now, and let us reason together…"

"I have prepared a place for you…"

"Surely I come quickly…"

Your invitation has been delivered. You are invited to come and
enjoy the pleasures of heaven.

Go ahead and refuse dinner with the mayor. Refuse a stately dining
experience with the Governor. Go ahead and refuse a formal and gala
dinner affair with the President. But don't refuse the invitation
from the King of Kings.

I have a piece of paper hanging on my wall that some say is worth
approximately $150.00. I am honored to be one of less than .5% of
all American's who have been privileged to receive one of these
documents.

It hangs on my wall, not as an endorsement, but for historical and
sentimental value.

On the document it has the official seal of the inauguration of the
President and Vice-President and states:

The Presidential Inaugural Committee
requests the honor of your presence
to attend and participate in the
Inauguration of

William Jefferson Clinton as
President of the United States of America

and Albert Gore, Jr. as
Vice-President of the United States of America

on Monday, the twentieth of January
one thousand nine hundred and ninety-seven
in the City of Washington

I got the invitation, but I did not go. Regardless of the political
choices I have, it was an official invitation and I could have rubbed
shoulders with men and women of political importance and stood where
few are honored to stand. But I chose not to go. Now all I have is
an invitation. Not even a memory of event.
You have the choice to make tonight. Accept the offer or be left
with nothing but an invitation.

The writer of Hebrews gives us a directive that should be keenly
observed: See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they
did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we
not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven. (Hebrews
12:25 NKJV)

To walk away from this service not fully prepared to go to heaven and
not responding to the invitation from God is to simply say, "Let me
be excused…"
Please don't pray this prayer. God still answers prayers and you do
not want this one answered.

To be excused from the marriage supper is to be excused…

…from loved ones here who are going.

…from loved ones already there.

…from friends who will be there.

…from angels who will be in attendance.

…from the glory and splendor of heaven.

…from the Lord himself.

Don't pray this prayer tonight.

Instead pray, Jesus:

I'm yours Lord, everything I've got, everything I am, everything I'm
not. I'm yours Lord, try me now and see. See if I can be completely
yours.

He will answer your prayer.
