John 14:13-14

Philippians 4:6-7
6 Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. To pray in Jesus name does not mean that we add His Holy Name to our wish list. It simply means our prayers are consistent with what Jesus Himself would have prayed about in a particular situation. We are to pray for anything promised to us in the Word of God and then we know that God will hear us and answer our prayers. There are so many rich blessings for us in the Word. When we have a need, we are to be looking in the Word for direction on what God has already promised us for that need. And then we go before the Father and pray according to that promise. We remind God of what He has told us and of the blessings He has already given us. We thank Him for those blessings and know that He hears us. When we do this, we will have peace. Perfect peace that is not understood by the world around us. We can leave it in God's hands and cast all our cares on Him, because we know that He cares for us. Practice putting yourself in an atmosphere that allows you to focus on Him and His Word. Talk to God as you would talk to a friend. There is nothing that He cannot do or enable you to do.
