Turn to Ptoverbs 9:1-6
Proverbs 9:1-6 King James Version (KJV)
9 Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:
2 She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table.
3 She hath sent forth her maidens: she crieth upon the highest places of the city,
4 Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,
5 Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled.
6 Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.
In Proverbs, as you studied the first eight chapters there are seven pillars to build your foundation for your life, and you have wisdom you have built a good house. However, you need to kill beasts for food and drink wine for a beverage and you have furnished a good table. The lady had sent maidens for her bidding, but she cried at the mountains when she had sadness. Simple people turn for help, but men get understanding from their spouse. She asks him to eat and drink wine with her. If you go the right direction, you need forsake the foolish man way of life and you will gain the right way of understanding.
We will do Proverbs 9:7-12 on Tuesday, January 8th.
