Turn to Proverbs 12:25-28
25 Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.
26 The righteous is more excellent than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduceth them.
27 The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious.
28 In the way of righteousness is life: and in the pathway thereof there is no death.
A person that is heavy hearted makes himself sad, but a good word will cheer him up. A righteous man will help his neighbor, but the wicked man will not. A lazy man will not cook his meal, but the diligent man will cook and enjoy his meal. Following the path of righteousness is eternal life and there is not a fear of death.
We will start Chapter 13 on Tuesday.
