Dear Partners World Wide, I bring to you my (Dr. Diana Brevan) ponderings this today. May the Lord richly bless you and yours as we go right into to today’s ponderings prayer and the Word.
THE LAW OF GENESIS

Genesis 8:22 (NKJV) “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease.”

It is a law from God that while the earth is still here, we will have seedtime and harvest, cold and hot, winter and summer, and day and night. Well, I can see that the cold and hot are still here. I can see that day and night are still here. I can see that winter and summer are still here. So then I also know that seedtime and harvest are still here.

I watch as the farmers in our area put seeds in the ground in the spring. Then when the fall comes, I watch them harvest their crops. It is the same in the spiritual realm. Each of us has a garden, and it is called our heart. Whatever we sow into this garden will grow and produce fruit within us.

If we sow anger, or envy, or strife, we are going to reap these things in our lives. I hear people say that they will change when they get old, but if these are the kinds of seeds that we planted all our lives, then when we get older we will be just as mean and ugly as we are now.

So what are we to do? It is an easy solution; plant good seeds! Plant seeds of the fruit of the Spirit. Plant seeds of love. Find scriptures on it, and meditate on them until they become real in your heart and mind. Plant seeds of kindness. Be loving and kind to people. Plant seeds of healing so that when sickness tries to come against you or your family, you will have a harvest to reap from. I think you’re getting it, so let us go and do it! Let us start a new garden today!

Confession: I am starting a new garden today! A garden of love, a garden of the fruit of the Spirit, a garden of healing and generosity, and a garden of kind words and encouragement. Today, I take control of my garden and I will see a great harvest in due season!
