Turn to Proverbs 14:29-35
Proverbs 14:29-35 King James Version (KJV)
29 He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.
30 A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.
31 He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.
32 The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.
33 Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding: but that which is in the midst of fools is made known.
34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.
35 The king's favour is toward a wise servant: but his wrath is against him that causeth shame.
A person that is slow to anger has a greater understanding than a person that has anger problems and they show foolishness. A good heart shows a life of a person, but envy shows the dislike in people. A person that dislikes the poor mocks God, but who honors God has mercy on the poor. A wicked man is taken away by his own doing, but the righteous has hope in Heaven. Wisdom comes to people that has a heart to understand things, but foolishness is shown to men that are lacking it. Righteousness makes a nation proud, but sin makes a nation in chaos. A king gives favor to a servant is wise, but the wrathful servant shows a king shame.
