Turn to Proverbs 21:10-15
Proverbs 21:10-15 King James Version (KJV)
10 The soul of the wicked desireth evil: his neighbour findeth no favour in his eyes.
11 When the scorner is punished, the simple is made wise: and when the wise is instructed, he receiveth knowledge.
12 The righteous man wisely considereth the house of the wicked: but God overthroweth the wicked for their wickedness.
13 Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.
14 A gift in secret pacifieth anger: and a reward in the bosom strong wrath.
15 It is joy to the just to do judgment: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.
The soul of wicked people desires to do evil, but his neighbor does not gain favor with their eyes. When scorners are punished, the simple are made wise and they gain knowledge when instructed properly. The righteous man is wise to consider the house of the wicked and avoid it, because God will overthrow the wicked people out due to wickedness. A person that avoids the cry of poor people will cry and not be heard in time of trouble. A gift given in secret stirs up anger and in the bosom of man stores a reward of wrath. It is a joy for the right to do judgment, but the workers that transgress will face destruction.
