Prayer #1
Children at School

Father, in Jesus’ name, I confess Your Word this day concerning my children as they pursue their education and training at school. You are effectually at work in them, creating within them the power and desire to please You. They are the head and not the tail, above and not beneath.
I pray that my children will find favor, good understanding and high esteem in the sight of God and their teachers and classmates. I ask You to give my children wisdom and understanding as knowledge is presented to them in all fields of study and endeavor.
Father, thank You for giving my children an appreciation for education and helping them to understand that the Source and beginning of all knowledge is You. They have the appetite of the diligent, and they are abundantly supplied with educational resources; and their thoughts are those of the steadily diligent, which tend only to achievement. Thank You that they are growing in wisdom and knowledge. I will not cease to pray for them, asking that they be filled with the knowledge of Your will, bearing fruit in every good work.
Father, I thank You that my children have divine protection since they dwell in the secret place of the Most High. My children trust and find their refuge in You and stand rooted and grounded in Your love. They shall not be led astray by philosophies of men and teaching that is contrary to truth. You are their Shield and Buckler, protecting them from attacks or threats. Thank You for the angels whom You have assigned to them to accompany, defend and preserve them in all their ways of obedience and service. My children are established in Your love, which drives all fear out of doors.
I pray that the teachers of my children will be godly men and women of integrity. Give our teachers understanding hearts and wisdom in order that they may walk in the ways of piety and virtue, revering Your holy name. Amen.

Prayer #2
There is a spiritual battle taking place in our schools. The devil has set his sights on our children and, among other attacks on our education system, school shootings have been in the headlines at an increasing rate. The temptation may be to become fearful or discouraged, but God has instructed us how to respond in Ephesians 6:12: “For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.” The world focuses on the natural cause of violence and attacks, but as Christians, we know there is a spiritual force behind those who carry out wickedness. That’s why we, the Church, are called to be the watchmen on the walls for our communities. We are called to use our authority to prevent attacks on our schools, neighborhoods, homes, businesses and churches. What can we do? If your child attends a local school, you can take authority over that school and begin encircling the school with angels, Psalm 91 protection and the blood of Jesus. If you do not have children in school, ask the Lord to lead you regarding a school He would have you stand for in prayer for protection against violence. You can pray from your home, you can prayer walk the school, and if possible, or you can park nearby and pray. Your spiritual authority and intercession will make a difference. Here is a prayer of protection against school shootings you can pray in faith. Father, in the Name of Jesus, I thank You for the gift of education. I thank You that our children have the privilege and right to develop their minds and grow in knowledge for the good and strength of the Kingdom on this earth and to do so safely. Lord, we know it is NEVER Your will that bullying, violence or shootings take place in a school or anywhere else. We recognize and acknowledge the work of the enemy and come to You in obedience to Your Word to take authority over the forces of evil that would make any attempt against our children while they are in school. I thank You that Your Word promises divine protection for my children, and I declare that no evil will come near my children or their schools in the Name of Jesus. I curse any evil plots at the root right now in Jesus’ Name. I declare that no weapon formed against our schools will prosper. Every evil plan that is in the dark will be brought into the light and halted. I bind Satan and his demons in the Name of Jesus and command them to flee from our schools in Jesus’ Name. I thank You that Your angels surround my children, taking charge over them and protecting them from danger of any kind. I speak life, truth, safety and protection over every child at this school. I plead the blood of Jesus over my children and their schools—every building they walk into, and every vehicle they ride in. I declare that no evil will come near them. I thank You, Father, that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of POWER. I rebuke the spirit of fear in Jesus’ Name and loose a spirit of power over this school. I thank You and praise You for Your goodness, Your mercy and Your grace. Thank You that as I have applied the blood of Jesus on the doorposts of this school, nothing shall be able to harm it. In Jesus’ Name. Amen. When you pray this prayer in faith—not doubting—you can have peace that your children are under a covering of protection that cannot be touched by the enemy. Continue in the good fight of faith. Keep praying and interceding for our schools. Let the enemy know one thing is sure—he can’t have our children. Remind him that he has no authority—we have the authority through the blood and the Name above all names—the Name of Jesus. Glory to God!
