Psalm 131-133
King James Version
131 Lord, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.

2 Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child.

3 Let Israel hope in the Lord from henceforth and for ever.

132 Lord, remember David, and all his afflictions:

2 How he sware unto the Lord, and vowed unto the mighty God of Jacob;

3 Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed;

4 I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids,

5 Until I find out a place for the Lord, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.

6 Lo, we heard of it at Ephratah: we found it in the fields of the wood.

7 We will go into his tabernacles: we will worship at his footstool.

8 Arise, O Lord, into thy rest; thou, and the ark of thy strength.

9 Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy.

10 For thy servant David's sake turn not away the face of thine anointed.

11 The Lord hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.

12 If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore.

13 For the Lord hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.

14 This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.

15 I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.

16 I will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.

17 There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.

18 His enemies will I clothe with shame: but upon himself shall his crown flourish.

133 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;

3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

131 Canto de ascenso gradual . De David. Oh SEÑOR, no se ha envanecido mi corazón

ni mis ojos se han enaltecido
ni he andado en pos de grandezas
ni de cosas demasiado sublimes para mí.
2 Más bien, he sosegado y acallado mi alma como un niño destetado al lado
de su madre.
Como un niño destetado está mi alma dentro de mí.
3 Espera, oh Israel, en el SEÑOR desde ahora y para siempre.
Sion, la morada elegida

132 Canto de ascenso gradual .

Acuérdate, oh SEÑOR,
de David y de toda su aflicción
2 de cómo juró al SEÑOR
y prometió al Fuerte de Jacob, diciendo:
3 “No entraré en mi morada
ni subiré a mi cama.
4 No daré sueño a mis ojos
ni a mis párpados sopor
5 hasta que halle un lugar para el SEÑOR, una morada para el Fuerte de Jacob”.
6 He aquí, en Efrata oímos de ella,
y la encontramos en los campos de Yaar :
7 “Entremos en su tabernáculo; postrémonos ante el estrado de sus pies”.
8 Levántate, oh SEÑOR;
ven al lugar de tu reposo;
tú y el arca de tu poder.
9 Tus sacerdotes sean revestidos de justicia, y tus fieles canten de júbilo.
10 Por causa de tu siervo David,
no rechaces el rostro de tu ungido.
11 Con verdad juró el SEÑOR a David,
y no se apartará de ello:
“Del fruto de tu cuerpo
pondré sobre tu trono.
12 Si tus hijos guardan mi pacto
y este testimonio que yo les enseño, sus hijos también se sentarán
en tu trono para siempre”.
13 Porque el SEÑOR ha elegido a Sion
y la ha deseado como morada suya:
14 “Este es mi lugar de reposo para siempre. Aquí habitaré porque lo he deseado.
15 Lo bendeciré con abundante provisión; a sus necesitados saciaré de pan.
16 Asimismo, vestiré de salvación
a sus sacerdotes,
y sus fieles darán voces de júbilo.
17 Allí haré surgir el poderío de David;
he preparado una lámpara para mi ungido.
18 A sus enemigos vestiré de vergüenza pero sobre él resplandecerá su corona”.
La dulce armonía fraternal

133 Canto de ascenso gradual . De David.¡He aquí, cuán bueno y cuán agradable es que los hermanos habiten juntos en armonía!

2 Es como el buen aceite sobre la cabeza, el cual desciende sobre la barba,
la barba de Aarón,
y baja hasta el borde de sus vestiduras.
3 Es como el rocío del Hermón que desciende sobre los montes de Sion; porque allá enviará el SEÑOR bendición y vida eterna.
