UNTO US A SON IS GIVEN
Isaiah 9:6 (NKJV) For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Jesus came for no other reason than to seek and to save those that are lost, and to destroy the works of the enemy (Luke 19:10 and 1 John 3:8). Knowing this, when we read a Scripture like today's, we can see that God sent His Son into the world to redeem us. I love how this verse gives us different names of Jesus. Let us look at them today:
His name will be called Wonderful, and I can say a thousand times over, HE IS! He is the most wonderful of all! He is high and lifted up, and one day, we will see His glory.
He is our Counselor. He is the greatest counselor that we could ever have. When we need wisdom, we need to go to Him, for He is all wisdom. He created us, and He knows what makes us tick. So go to Him for your counsel. Fall on your knees, and listen to His sweet, still voice.
He is the Mighty God. Amen, and a hundred times amen! He is the One true God who came to redeem us and set us free. He is the only God, and the only One that can bring us to salvation, and the forgiveness of sin.
He is the Everlasting Father, and as Daniel has stated in his book, He is the Ancient of Days. He was before there ever was anything. He is the beginning, because He created the beginning. All things revolve around Him, and He is the One who has now given us eternal life.
He is the Prince of Peace. One day, when the rulers of this world bow to Him, there will be peace on earth as this world has not seen since before the fall of Adam and Eve. The scripture says that the lion will lay with the lamb. There will be no more death or sickness. There will be no more sorrow or tears. This is the true peace that our hearts yearn for. So today, look at each of these names and let Him become all of them to you!
Confession: Today, I declare that Jesus is Wonderful to me! He is my Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace.

Proverbs 30:15-16 A NOSOTROS SE NOS DA UN HIJO
Isaías 9:6 Porque nos ha nacido un Niño, nos es dado un Hijo; y el gobierno estará sobre Su hombro. Y Su nombre será llamado Admirable, Consejero, Dios Fuerte, Padre Eterno, Príncipe de Paz.
Jesús vino por ninguna otra razón que buscar y salvar a los que están perdidos, y para destruir las obras del enemigo (Lucas 19:10 y 1 Juan 3:8). Sabiendo esto, cuando leemos una Escritura como la de hoy, podemos ver que Dios envió a Su Hijo al mundo para redimirnos. Me encanta cómo este versículo nos da diferentes nombres de Jesús. Veámoslos hoy:
Su nombre se llamará Maravilloso, y puedo decir mil veces, ¡ÉL ES! ¡Él es el más maravilloso de todos! Él es alto y elevado, y un día, veremos Su gloria.
Él es nuestro Consejero. Él es el mejor consejero que podríamos tener. Cuando necesitamos sabiduría, necesitamos ir a Él, porque Él es toda sabiduría. Él nos creó, y Él sabe lo que nos hace funcionar. Así que acude a Él por tu consejo. Caigan de rodillas y escuchen Su dulce y apacible voz.
Él es el Dios Poderoso. ¡Amén, y cien veces amén! Él es el único Dios verdadero que vino a redimirnos y liberarnos. Él es el único Dios, y el único que puede llevarnos a la salvación y al perdón de los pecados.
Él es el Padre Eterno, y como Daniel ha declarado en su libro, Él es el Anciano de Días. Él era antes de que hubiera algo. Él es el principio, porque Él creó el principio. Todas las cosas giran en torno a Él, y Él es Aquel que ahora nos ha dado la vida eterna.
Él es el Príncipe de Paz. Un día, cuando los gobernantes de este mundo se inclinen ante Él, habrá paz en la tierra como este mundo no ha visto desde antes de la caída de Adán y Eva. La escritura dice que el león se acostará con el cordero. No habrá más muerte ni enfermedad. No habrá más tristeza ni lágrimas. Esta es la verdadera paz que nuestros corazones anhelan. Así que hoy, ¡mira cada uno de estos nombres y deja que Él se convierta en todos ellos para ti!
Confesión: ¡Hoy, declaro que Jesús es maravilloso para mí! Él es mi Consejero, Dios Fuerte, Padre Eterno y Príncipe de Paz.
