PEACEMAKERS, NOT PEACE-BREAKERS
Matthew 5:9 (NKJV) Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
Matthew 5:9 (AMP) Blessed (enjoying enviable happiness, spiritually prosperous — with life-joy and satisfaction in God's favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the makers and maintainers of peace, for they shall be called the sons of God!
God wants us to be peacemakers, not PEACE-BREAKERS!
He wants us to be a part of the solution, not part of the problem.
Have you ever been in a room where everybody is negative and complaining? Everything is going wrong. Then a person walks in and says something that causes people to change their attitude.
God wants peacemakers at home. God wants peacemakers in His church. God wants peacemakers in the workplace. God wants peacemakers out in the world. He wants people who do not dwell on the negative, but concentrate on the positive, and see the good things that He is doing in the world.
Jesus had the ability to change things, even storms at sea. In Matthew, there is a story of a storm. The storm was so strong that the disciples thought they were going to die. Do you remember what Jesus did?
Matthew 8:26 says, “But He said to them, ‘Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?’ Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea and there was a great calm.”
You see, Jesus was a peacemaker! He changed things. He has called us to be peacemakers, too. Today, look at and ponder these scriptures:
Proverbs 12:20 (NLTSE) Deceit fills hearts that are plotting evil; joy fills hearts that are planning peace!
Proverbs 29:8 (NLTSE) Mockers can get a whole town agitated, but the wise will calm anger.
Hebrews 12:14 (NKJV) Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord
James 3:18 (NLTSE) And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.
Romans 14:19 (NKJV) Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another.
Today, be a peacemaker! Be a person who goes out of his way to bring peace not strife. Be a person who is a peacemaker, not a peace-breaker.
Confession: Today, I choose peace, not strife. I choose to be a peacemaker, not a peace-breaker.
PACIFICADORES, NO ROMPEDORES DE LA PAZ
Mateo 5:9 Bienaventurados los pacificadores, porque ellos serán llamados hijos de Dios.
Mateo 5:9 (AMP) Bienaventurados (disfrutando de una felicidad envidiable, espiritualmente prósperos, con gozo de vida y satisfacción en el favor y la salvación de Dios, independientemente de sus condiciones externas) son los hacedores y mantenedores de la paz, ¡porque serán llamados hijos de Dios!
¡Dios quiere que seamos pacificadores, no QUEBRANTADORES DE PAZ!
Él quiere que seamos parte de la solución, no parte del problema.
¿Alguna vez has estado en una habitación donde todo el mundo es negativo y se queja? Todo va mal. Entonces una persona entra y dice algo que hace que la gente cambie su actitud.
Dios quiere pacificadores en casa. Dios quiere pacificadores en Su iglesia. Dios quiere pacificadores en el lugar de trabajo. Dios quiere pacificadores en el mundo. Él quiere personas que no se detengan en lo negativo, sino que se concentren en lo positivo y vean las cosas buenas que Él está haciendo en el mundo.
Jesús tenía la capacidad de cambiar las cosas, incluso las tormentas en el mar. En Mateo, hay una historia de una tormenta. La tormenta fue tan fuerte que los discípulos pensaron que iban a morir. ¿Recuerdas lo que hizo Jesús?
Mateo 8:26 dice: "Pero les dijo: ¿Por qué tenéis miedo, oh de poca fe?' Entonces se levantó y reprendió a los vientos y al mar y hubo una gran calma".
Verás, ¡Jesús fue un pacificador! Cambió las cosas. Él también nos ha llamado a ser pacificadores. Hoy, mira y medita en estos pasajes de las Escrituras:
Proverbios 12:20 (NTV) El engaño llena los corazones que están tramando el mal; ¡La alegría llena los corazones que están planeando la paz!
Proverbios 29:8 (NTVS) Los burladores pueden agitar a toda una ciudad, pero los sabios calmarán la ira.
Hebreos 12:14 Buscad la paz con todos los hombres, y la santidad, sin la cual nadie verá al Señor
Santiago 3:18 (NTVS) Y los que son pacificadores plantarán semillas de paz y cosecharán una cosecha de justicia.
Romanos 14:19 Por lo tanto, busquemos las cosas que contribuyen a la paz y las cosas por las cuales uno puede edificar a otro.
¡Hoy, sé un pacificador! Sé una persona que hace todo lo posible para traer paz, no conflictos. Sé una persona que es un pacificador, no un quebrantador de la paz.
Confesión: Hoy, elijo la paz, no la lucha. Elijo ser un pacificador, no un quebrantador de la paz.
