Good Morning!

1 Peter 1:3-7
3 All honor to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, for it is by his boundless mercy that God has given us the privilege of being born again. Now we live with a wonderful expectation because Jesus Christ rose again from the dead. 4 For God has reserved a priceless inheritance for his children. It is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. 5 And God, in his mighty power, will protect you until you receive this salvation, because you are trusting him. It will be revealed on the last day for all to see. 6 So be truly glad! There is wonderful joy ahead, even though it is necessary for you to endure many trials for a while. 7 These trials are only to test your faith, to show that it is strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold and your faith is far more precious to God than mere gold. So if your faith remains strong after being tried by fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

You and I have a living hope, a hope that rests upon the fact of the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. And since Christ was raised from the dead by the Spirit of God, so will those who believe Him. Christ has reserved for us an inheritance not on earth but an inheritance in heaven. That inheritance is imperishable, indestructible, and no enemy can take it away from us. Our inheritance is being reserved in heaven meaning it is being guarded. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are taking care of it for us. We couldn't have it in a better safety deposit box than that! Therefore, with our treasure under guard in heaven, we can concentrate on His work down here. We should stop trying to improve our old nature through the power of our flesh and concentrate on the work set before us. Even through there will be trials in this life, we need to keep moving forward with His plan and His purpose. Knowing that in that day, all will be revealed and what we have done for Christ and in His name will be the only thing that will really matter. The work done for His purpose is the only thing we can bring with us when we leave this world and it will be our treasure in heaven.
