Turn to Jeremiah 7:30-34

30 For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, saith the Lord: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to pollute it.

31 And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my heart.

32 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that it shall no more be called Tophet, nor the valley of the son of Hinnom, but the valley of slaughter: for they shall bury in Tophet, till there be no place.

33 And the carcases of this people shall be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth; and none shall fray them away.

34 Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride: for the land shall be desolate.

As we conclude Chapter 7, the children of Judah had done evil in the sight of the Lord and they have set up pagan gods and idols in the house of worship instead of worship God and the Messiah, Jesus Christ.

They built up the high places like Tophet, in the valley of the son of Hinnom where Solomon built for his pagan wives and it is sacrificing their sons and daughters to pagan worship and God did not command the Israelites to do these practices and now the days will come and it is will become a slaughter of Jews for not worship God and it will be full of dead bodies.

It will be a feast of the fowls in Heaven and the beasts of the Earth to eat the flesh of humans and they could not fray from their carcases and God will cease from the streets of the capitol of Jerusalem and the cities throughout the tribe of Judah, there would be no voice of happiness and gladness in the land for seventy years after the Babylonians destroyed it from 605 BC to 586 BC.

We will start Chapter 8, after Easter.
