Good Morning!

Mark 12:28-31
28 One of the teachers of religious law was standing there listening to the discussion. He realized that Jesus had answered well, so he asked, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?" 29 Jesus replied, "The most important commandment is this: 'Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is the one and only Lord. 30 And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.' 31 The second is equally important: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' No other commandment is greater than these."

The heartbeat of our mission is to love the Lord our God with all of our heart, all our soul, all our mind and all our strength. This is what we were created for and this is why Jesus came to die for us, so that we could have access to God the Father to know Him and to receive His love. How far are you from God today? When you find yourself in a situation that you know only God can help, how far do you need to run to Him? Is He with you always, so when you turn, you do not need to go far? Or when you need Him, do you have far to run to find Him? Always know that it is you who have put the distance between you and not Christ. In Matthew 28:20 He states, "And know this; I am with you always, even to the end of the age." When we find ourselves separated from God, we have not been keeping this commandment given to us by Jesus. Loving God with all of our being should be our first priority. This does not mean selling everything and going off into the jungle. But it does mean that from wherever we are, He is first in our life. God is first when we know Him by His Word and by spending time with Him. How far do you need to run when you turn to Him? If it is too far, remove the gap by loving the Lord your God with all of your heart, soul, mind and strength!
