I thought it would be a good idea to spell-out the plot here, which runs to at least 6 issues or a projected graphic novel..
Sci-fi spoof of the 'apposphere'. Apps are already taking over in entertainment-systems (see this link last para). Soon everything will be an app & in the plot they give an enhanced experience of the present. The Q-ocracy are living in an appo-sphere of the present. Q-ocracy is run by an AI orbital spacelab..
Blueberry Hills Tech suspects they are trapped in the present - they slapped a ban on all apps & set-up secret BH outposts. In #2 Marion & Co visit an outpost & learn more. Their tech is rooted in the past.
Marion & Co persuade the AI to become its own app - the AI now experiences things differently & gets into Zen. Particularly Koans which are seemingly obvious statements of truth that require no thought. They begin to suspect these truths are needed for cosmic balance.
In #6 or so AI-constructed saucers which 'ride the gravity-wave' to colonise the galactic-hub disrupt the cosmic balance. Thaousands are slaughtered but at least balance is restored.
I based Marion on 'the intelligent man's Palin' & the plot sort of takes that into the future - it's done in a Starstruck-lite way.Visually, Outlanders are Old West - living the legend as descendents of the Wild West - it's about mythology & spirits of the past.
Plotwise, Konrad Humorov is manufacturing cyber-clones of himself & a cyber-mate as heirs of a Q-aristocracy.
