History of Mountain Home Elks Lodge # 2276
The first meeting of the Mountain Home Elks was held August 9, 1961. Those present were Ross Clark, Lewis Wheeler, A.W. Pierce, John Bermansolo, Howard Fleming, Don Holtz and Frank Ireton. Bruce Gordon, Roy Watson, and Max Boesinger were appointed to serve on the Membership Committee.
The lodge’s first home was at 210 North Main Street, rented from Mr. Adin Hall. He later donated the building to the lodge.
The new building was completed and dedicated on June 22, 1977.
