If anyone's interested, Joan was here just a few weeks ago. Absolutely fabulous and have been a fan since 1962 when I first heard her on a record. In any case, yes, there were protesters, signs with "Liberals kill babies" blah, blah blah. IF has a small venue but great shows, so seats were the best. Two hours. I also love Joan Baez. Saw her a number of years ago. No one protesting but when she stated some of her views she was booed. I would love to hear her sing again.
Joan's voice is still clear and beautiful, although there is a difference from the old days, and I believe she works with a voice coach to maintain as long as she can.

I saw Joan in 1972, I was in Pittsburg and she was advertizing an anti-war protest in Washington DC, called the Women's and Children's Ring around the Congress. I went to DC and heard her sing and talk. I also am a big fan.
