I like that 39 cent banana split, my all-time favorite ice cream dish.

I can still imagine the look and smell of the lunch counters at the stores in Boise. I loved the BLTs when my mother would take me out.

Was Woolworth's still selling banana splits from 1961-1967? I remember really wanting a banana split so Mom and Dad bought me one and I ate it all and got sick and puked immediately after. I was just a kid. I also had to have a whole coconut from the new Safeway so I got one, ate it all, got sick, and to this day I do not like coconut anymore. Hahah. Those were the days!
