Rich and I watched Coop get sworn in yesterday. Then we took him to the airport for his flight to Chicago. That was really hard. In this day of instant communication it will be difficult to not talk or text him everyday. He called last night at 10:45 to say he made it. He got an eight to ten second call to let us know he is safe. The next call will be in 3 weeks. Now his new great adventure begins. Cooper has been waiting several years to get this. Rich likes to say when he went in they asked if he had a heart beat and then they shipped off on a bus. I have misgiving about the field he is going into Special Ops EOD, but this is what he wants, so as a good little Mother I will support him always but couldn't he pick a safer field?
