I was watching hustle $ flow and i heard amazing song in the background in one of the scenes. the song was if loving you is wrong... I freaked, i fell in love with this song. then i went to see who sang it. i listened to millies version, then someone had posted that this man, also covered a version. I listened to it, and i fell in love with him and his voice. i never new he passed on. i wish i could had met him..i love you luther..oo..xx

It was 1972 I was setting in jail for seiiing heroin.I was 21years old.Some one had made a hammic out of a bed sheet.I would set in it and sing his song when it would come on the reado.The whole cell block would stop waht they were doing and listen to me sing that song.I am 57 now I findley got to hear it a agin a few days ago.Now I listen to every night befor I go to bed.Dale,

the song that Luther wrote "I DON'T WANNA BE RIGHT" was a special song between myself and the father of my firstborn. i am of european heritage and the man that i loved is of african. this was in the early "70's" so it really had special meaning for us. i've wondered whatever has happened to him and his son would like to meet him. Our son is now 35 years old. i've tried to find this song over the years.

Luther, My Dear Brother.
It was indeed a privilege and an honor backing you in concert on guitar with my soulful group Showtime at the Minneapolis Auditorium in 1970 when you were the opening act for Isaac Hayes. Not only was that a special night, but the several rehearsals leading up to that evening were even more special. I will forever remember you as "Mr. Perfection" and cherish that brief moment in time we shared. You will be missed, but your music will remain immortal!
