I am trying to find information about my brother in laws elder brother AAS Nulty who was a Seargent in 44, 32 & 33 and lost his life in aroad accident north of Windhoek in 1985. We want to know as much about him as possible as his personal effects and money never made it back to his father in UK. ALSO WAS HE MARRIED AND ARE THERE CHILDREN as a photo of him in Beytenbacks book Buffalo battalion shows him wearinga wedding ring. Assistance appreciated

I did three stints with 32 Battalion during my time in SWA: First very short on ops Dolphin in Eonde-2nd and longest (3 months)-joined at Rundu with speech by Comdt Eddie Viljoen,worked as a driver and took in chopper fuel with Sgt Kevin and Leutenant Peter set up TBA around Xmas time Dec1983-I remember a chopper went down at the 2nd TBA we were at. Then drove for Unita with a Leutenant Johan for three weeks from Eonde. By Jan 84 was with 32 Bat at Tetechemate(big gun fight and lots of noise on the hill of steel next to the town) and later parked off just South Of Cuvelai until Feb 84 when the whole column returned to Namibia-3rd time with JMC at north of Ongiva(weird times next to FAPLA soldiers) I will always be proud of my short time at 32 and the small contribution I made to the sucess of ops Askari.

Hi Guys, I did my standard military traing ,so I cannot open with any opening of "special forces training etc"....I did hear that there were guys who served with 32 bat who are living below the poverty line , is this true and if so who can we approach to assist?

The lot of the soldier is however, to execute the desires of the politicians, while believing in ideals that might not necessarily reflect these political desires. All to often have soldiers been betrayed in these situations. We must however hold our heads up high and be the men that we were when we swore allegiance our country. We are none the less servants of the nation.

how do i sign up with the 32 vets . i served 87 to 89 in buffalo , was involved in ops hooper , modular and packer was there for the strike on manong . was there when tyhe hidro dam was taken out at kaloweck in the west . BEST years of my life. . SGT Mendes was my mentor
