I consider myself fortunate to have seen a great band like TALAS @ the UB Springfest in 1984, whilst a student there.I had bought \"live speed on ice\" out of curiosity earlier and had to see them.
I also \"heard\" the van halen like bass playing from my cab that I drove in Babylon, NY that summer as I dropped off a fare @ a bar on sunrise hwy...it is a small world . ...then later in 97 I step into Thoroughbred Music in Tampa w/a friend and there\'s Billy giving a seminar. .....[8-)

Me and my husband Jim are really good friends of Mike & Sylvia Hogan and we too have been told the story about the amp in their game room. We have also had the pleasure of hearing that amp being used on a really great party night. We see that you are coming back to Buffalo on July 28 and we are going to be bringing Mike & Sylvia as a suprise to them.

If at all possible if you could try and see them before or after the concert it would be great. If not then at least know that we will all be out front diggin your music.

I was sitting in my grandparents' back room one day and asked my grandpa where he had gotten the amp that sat among his Rock memorabilia. He then went on to explain that you had given it to him and singed it. I was totally blown away! After being a die hard VH fan, and Rock nut, this was the coolest thing ever.

He then told me that he wanted to give me something, one of the T shirts he made for you and Talas for your reunion tour in Buffalo I believe? Anyway, he said that only you and the band members have these shirts and he's giving it to me!

You're such an inspiration and so incredibly talented!

Thanx, You have been very inspirational in my learning to play bass, both you and Steve Vai, because I started playing guitar first. Unfortunately I suffer from what I call C.R.S., Can't Remember ****. I was in a motorcycle accident in 2003, that is when I finally got a B.C Rich Warlock. i started playn at 15yrs old billy..ur drummer Mark lived across the street frm me on RiverSide Ave..well when i was stil 15 i seen u play with Talas at RiverSide park n u did the National Anthem n ya Blew me away..it was Gene Simonds of KISS that got me in2 the Bass , but it was Gezzer Butler and You that kept me playin It!! I thank u 4that. when i seen u perform n u wernt 1 of those stand in the shadows bassplayers..i said Thats how i wanna b when i play..n now my band says im the LEAD BASSIST..lol..not no where near ur levels but i been at it 28yrs now so i gotta clue ya no. im self tought except 4 like mabye 10months of lessons in the start..the rest in detication and great influences like you Billy..n e ways im a buffalo boy myself and i just wntd 2 share my story with ya..u are now my absolut favorite Bassist.. the world is a better place with u Playin Bass in it my friend.. u trully have a gift from GOD and i thank u 4 sharing it me..take care Billy..much love and respect my Bassplayer frm Buffalo brother..lol..just kiddin..take care
