chain tension adjustment

i simply cant believe that that tremendeously complicated solution for adjusting the secondary chain with those bolts and nuts covered by rear footrests and main stand springs is originally built or constructed by norton.

if anybody could provide pics which help me to understand or restore that are i would be very happy.

currently it takes at least half an hour to somehow adjust the rear chain tension because it's so difficult to work with the bolts and nuts due to the very limited space.

Re: chain tension adjustment

Hello Martin,

If you use the original bolts and nuts it is still fiddely but doable withtin 10 minutes.
I will send you a picture of the original set-up.

Cheers,

Rob

thanks a lot, rob. i received your pics by mail. the bolts and nuts on my bike are obviously not original. the bolts are longer and the nuts do not have the additional roundish section.
i will look for original parts.
