Are there are any methods for calibrating a microphone? I'm not looking forward to spending money mainly because I don't have any. I made a DIY microphone out of an electret element; although the electret isn't the Panasonic brand that every DIY webpage recommends. Is any electret mic going to have relatively flat response even without calibration?
