Re: eros enclosures

I don't know the answer, but having built the Eros...At one point in my construction I had a similar decision to make; I finally decided that if I took the risk and skimped on the construction, and my decision was wrong, that I would either have wasted all of the other work, or I would be unsatisfied forever after. I concluded that I would only have to do the work once, but I would get to really enjoy the speakers a thousand times.

And, I really enjoy the speakers! (So does my wife!)

FWIW,

any problem with making the enclosure front baffles out of 3/4" MDF and then using 1" MDF for the rest of the enclosure...the net loss of thickness would only be 1/4" and be much less labor intensive...i am wondering if the sonic quality would be comparable...dko
